As of today, I’ve gotten 5 tattoos from Phil. He is by far the best tattoo artist that I’ve been to. His hand is gentle, his lines are clean, and his shading is smooth like butter. He’s also incredibly kind and great to have a cool conversation with. If you are considering getting a tattoo, I highly recommend having Phil be your artist.

This is my first tattoo. I did my research and searched around the area for several artists and Phil Van Roys style was exactly what I was looking for. Making the appointment was super easy, I just filled out his form on his website and he responded back to my email very quickly. We exchanged some ideas, set a date, and that was that. Every question I had he answered quickly and clearly. On the day of the actual appointment he was waiting for me and had everything ready. The design he drew up was exactly what I wanted even if I didn't know it wanted it. I left it up to him to come up with a lot of elements of the tattoo. Getting started was easy and comfortable, the shop was impeccable and felt like walking into Cajun grandmothers house. It's got that old style charm. Phil Van Roy was so nice and attentive. Every time I twitched or was in pain he'd either slow down or ask me how I was doing. The tattoo itself is amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything better! The colors are great. The design is amazing. Everything about it is just perfect. 10 out of 10.

This was my first visit to Phil’s shop and let me just say that the experience exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of his tattoo parlor is welcoming and has great vibes, which in large part was attributed to the decor and good music he had playing during my visit. Phil did an excellent job retooling the design I originally sent him and produced a phenomenal tattoo at a fair price! I highly recommend Phil to anyone looking to get an American traditional style tattoo!

My tattoo experience with Phil was incredible. I sent him inspiration photos of what I wanted, and then he created something unique. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the tattoo itself was done super fast. Overall, a great experience and would recommend him to anyone interested in a beautiful piece of art!
