Having been a client at Salon of Gems for several years, Gemma was my first choice when looking for bridal hair and beauty services for my wedding. After an initial consultation where we discussed what I was looking for, Gemma provided me with a quote which she tailored to suit my requirements. Gemma was very responsive in her communications and all the important info like the questionnaire, contract, appointment bookings and payments etc were stored on a portal for safekeeping. I could also upload pics of hair and make-up examples that I liked to the portal, which was really useful. The bridal trial was good fun and gave the opportunity for a dress rehearsal, allowing us to experiment with different cosmetics, products and hair styles until we found the look that was most flattering for each of us, and that I was most happy with. Following the trial, Gemma shared a Wedding Day schedule allocating time to each member of the bridal party and ultimately ensuring we would all be ready in good time for the ceremony. The plan helped put me at ease and manage my expectations ahead of the day. The Wedding Day arrived and Gemma was as professional as ever arriving early to set up her equipment. I was naturally anxious with wedding day nerves, but Gemma kept me calm and relaxed whilst she worked her magic. She did an incredible job on both mine and my bridesmaids hair and make-up, listened to any refinements we wanted to make, gave advice and suggestions, and took videos and photos to capture the process, the special moments and the big final reveal! I’m so happy Gemma was part of our wedding day. She made me feel beautiful; the best version of myself I could be, and helped to make the day so special. I can highly recommend her services.

I always have the best experience at Salon of Gems. Walking in feels like entering a friend’s home, warm, welcoming, and beautifully hosted while still maintaining an incredibly high level of professionalism and attention to detail. I regularly have conditioning and keratin treatments with Laura and Gemma, and my nails done with Emma, and I’m always delighted with the results. Their skill, care, and perfectionism really set them apart. The added bonus? Leaving the salon genuinely feels like a happiness boost. I’m convinced it should be clinically proven to increase happiness by at least 60%! Highly recommend.

This salon is really lovely. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Annabelle was so great at curling my hair for a rare night out and managed to please my 7 year old with an amazing up style for her party. I would not hesitate to recommend this salon, great hairdressers, friendly staff, reasonable prices and a fab cup of coffee to go with it. Thank you Salon of Gems

Gemma has been transforming my hair for the past year leading up to my wedding. She is professional, kind and honest. She has been like a silent bridesmaid to me in the past year, helping me build my vision both in hair and make up, providing sound advice on how to look after my hair and always there when I have questions. Gemma has given me huge confidence in myself, her hair work has been out of this world. I was worried that as my hairstyle was very untraditional that no salon would be able to achieve it but she absolutely smashed it!! She has been so kind honest and patient with me leading up to my wedding and it has felt like I've made a true friend and at times an agony aunt 😂. She is like an extension guru, everytime I have them redone they look amazing! See before and after pictures for my very first set of extensions. On my wedding day, Gemma executed the look we had been building all year so well it made me happy cry! Just perfect work, I cannot thank her enough for making my vision become reality. Gemma's team are also incredible, they always make me feel so welcome, listen to my concerns and we have a laugh every time I visit. The girls are all so friendly and professional. Emma is fantastic at eyebrows and nails and has given me huge confidence with this as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart girls! If you want a salon to reassure you, work with you, give honest and real advice and listen to exactly what you want then these are your girls ❤️

Had my daughter’s 5th birthday pamper party today and it was amazing ! All the girls had a fantastic time.. first time with these ladies very welcoming! Thank you so so much for a wonderful day 💕
