first time here, very friendly lady working all by herself on a Sunday. She had a steady stream of people who all seemed to be walk ins and she juggled them all very professionally. Good with time and accommodating as much as she could. I asked for a med length layered cut (it had been quite a while, my hair was almost down to my waist). She went in on my hair, dry, with clippers to chop the length. then she proceeded to finish the cut, dry, with shears. I was a bit bummed because I was wanting a proper shampoo, cut and blow dry, but I also didn't really vocalize that to her, so that's my fault. She cut my hair with lightning speed (to be fair my hair is pretty fine). I examined my cut after leaving the salon and decided it was longer on one side. Later I got home and styled the cut, long story short, once styled I really liked the cut. Like I feel really cute and although she gave a very "no frills" experience, the stylist gave me exactly what I had asked for and I feel great in my new cut. I would definitely go back.

The best salon ever, a real hidden gem I had a previous bad experience that missed up my hair color really bad and needed to fix it, when we arrived in Monterery I asked the lady that worked in the lodge as she has close to my hair Type and I am so glad I did. She recommended Kelly at scissor shack Kelly was amazing, so kind and friendly, she is a life saver fixed my hair to a beautiful red I always wanted, was amazing and so nice. Gave me a really especial treatment. I highly recommend her, very good and smart, listened to me and saw my previous hair picture had to put two shades to fix it and then styled it for me and I came out a different person. I’m so grateful for hair and super happy with my hair Thank you so much Kelly greatly appreciate your beautiful work on me, you really did your magic and I got the best treatment. Every one in the salon was so nice and kind too. For sure will visit next year and see Kelly.

I've been needing a haircut and got a referral from my daughter. Kelly was prompt, helpful, and extremely well skilled! She has been working with them for 24 yrs!! My haircut is perfect. She listened to what I wanted and reviewed the pictures I brought. I could not be happier. Prices are very reasonable! I WILL BE BACK 💖🙌🏼

Loved the cool and incredibly affordable haircut I got here. How often do you actually get a true "deal" these days? Well this was it. I had a truly pleasurable experience where I felt comfortable and clearly the other men and women did as well. Then I left looking great and my wallet only slightly lighter. I will be back for my next cut for sure!
