Had my 2nds and cartilage pierced at this place when I was 17. Obviously I needed parent approval. However, I am now 19 and my piercings have healed so wonderfully.

I’ve never had any artwork done at this location (have at the Mechanicsburg one and they were great) but I have had multiple piercings here. As far as I’m concerned, this is the only place and the only piercer I will use for the foreseeable future or as long as I’m able to. Finding a great piercer is not about walking in, telling someone what I want/how I want it, being told yes immediately without any thought or examination and doing the piercing. Finding a great piercer is about finding someone who will listen to what you want but with the understanding that their training, experience, knowledge and overall expertise might involve telling you what you may not want to hear; because as a client, you may know what you want, but the piercer knows far better what works for your body. You may not be able to get the jewelry you want initially, you may not be able to get the placement you want or you may not be able to get the piercing AT ALL. Because a great piercer, is going to be more concerned with what their client’s body can handle and what will be best for their overall health above all else. Above reputation (let’s face it, people love to blame the professionals for things they have ZERO control over) above your personal happiness, above money, above all else. The hallmark of a good piercer is telling someone no when a piercing isn’t going to work with their anatomy or may cause health issues. I have found all of this with Rev at 717 in Harrisburg. He is absolutely the kind of professional whose main concern is the health and wellbeing of the client. The first thing he did was spend a few minutes checking out each area I wanted pierced to be sure I had the anatomy for it and to be certain that should I want the same thing on the other side in the future, things could be as symmetrical as possible. I have no doubt that had I wanted something that wasn’t the best option for me, he would have said no, or offered an alternative. Not only that, he’s quick, does the correct placement, uses sterile equipment and my piercings have done so well afterwards. They were also pretty close to painless and I know that has a lot to do with technique and experience. I’ve had quite a few piercings in my lifetime and he has been by far, the best I’ve ever dealt with. He’s the reason I’ve gotten three of the piercings I’ve wanted for years, done by him, all within the past 15 or so days. I have another scheduled for two weeks from now and I will keep coming back as long as he’s there and there are still piercings I want. If these are the types of professionals 717 hires across all locations, I have no doubt that no matter which one you go to, they are all equally amazing, though I’d still always choose here and choose Rev. If you’re specifically reading reviews to find a piercer, do not hesitate to go to the Linglestown Rd location to see him. You will absolutely not regret it.

I’ve had 3 tattoos here by Dennis. Always a fantastic experience and I’m very happy with how my tattoos end up. And always done at a very fair price. This has become my go to tattoo shop in the area!

I got my first tattoo from Kevin Martin. The experience overall was amazing. Kevin made me feel very comfortable from the very beginning of the process and the 5 hour tattoo session went very smooth. From the great conversation to even putting music on that I liked made the time very enjoyable. Now, concerning Kevin and his ability, he is a very gifted artist and tattoo artist. This first session was the outline and some shading but even in this stage looks amazing! I am excited in a couple weeks to get the color added. Thanks for making my first tattoo experience as memorable as the tattoo itself will be.
