Frequently Asked Questions About Alanis Salon & Spa
What hair services is Alanis Salon & Spa known for in Houston?
- They frequently handle textured hair and color specialist services, catering to clients seeking precise and personalized results. Express blowouts are also a notable option for those needing quick, polished looks. For specific availability of niche treatments, it is best to inquire directly with the business.
Can I see photos of your work before booking?
- Many salons maintain online portfolios, but the best approach is to request recent examples directly from the stylist team. Seeing real-time results helps align expectations with what is achievable for your hair type. Confirming portfolio access prior to the appointment ensures you and your stylist are on the same page.
What should I do before coming for a perm?
- Typically, stylists advise avoiding heavy conditioners or oils for 24 hours prior to the appointment to ensure optimal chemical processing. Arriving with clean, dry hair often streamlines the preparation phase. Specific pre-service instructions may vary depending on the perm type chosen, so clarifying this during booking is wise.

Customer Reviews for Alanis Salon & Spa
Tammy Rizzo — 5/5 (via Google)
This place was horrible. They talked me in to "damage free" extensions. 3 months ago. After the first month I was having issues with breakage and the hair falling out. I went back and they said it was normal. 2 more times I went back after that and they ignored my concerns. I finally paid for a blowout to be able to talk with someone about what was happening, I went in and the owner finally offered me a solution with a similar product but suggested I cut my hair and switch to a more expensive extensions. I had already paid 2000.00$ for the extensions that were falling out and damaging my natural hair , I was not going to let them touch me again. The attached photos are of my hair and the extensions they claimed to be damage free. I have never had such poor customer service after an issue or such poor recommendations by a senior stylist and owner of a salon. Stay away from this place.

Love, love this salon! I have been getting my hair colored, as well as extensions here for well over two years, always satisfied! Rosie has a great amount of experience, and knowledge when it comes to extensions and matching the color!Thomas kills it with the cuts and blowouts! Highly recommended!!
