I had the most wonderful experience as a Bride having Isabel do my hair (and my Grandma’s and sister in law’s hair). I give Isabel my absolute highest and enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking for someone to do their hair for a wedding in Traverse City. First off, after I had Isabel cut my hair once and after 30+ years of unsuccessfully trying to get curls to stay in my hair, she is the ONLY person who not only did the curls last through the day, they lasted for more than 2 days and didn’t feel like glue was poured in my hair. So I knew I wanted Isabel to do my hair for my wedding later that year - it was fate, but where Isabel really blew my mind is how kind and wonderful she was to me the day of our wedding. It was like having a second mother there, and she made me beautiful (and feel beautiful). She was flexible, coming to the venue, showing up early with a big smile, and per my request, she did my hair on an outdoor porch so friends and family could come visit me. She was excited to be there too, positive energy radiating from her the entire morning. Then, after hair was perfect and she had done a 10/10 job, Isabel went well beyond any expectations I had. She did my nails (“Girl, you’re not doing a good job, let me help”. She was right!). As I put on makeup, she gave me honest feedback on what was working and what wasn’t. Lastly, she said I needed lipstick- I had none, but Isabel helped find a friend of mine who has the same coloring as me and was like “OK, her lipstick, this will work”. She was SO right, in a way that completed the dress, the hair, and everything. I had numerous compliments throughout the day, but many of them were about my hair. It held the entire night of dancing and just as icing on the cake, even looked lovely the next morning. So if you need someone for bridal hair, choose Isabel. You will be so glad you did — she will come through for you in a big way on an important day for you. Her prices are more than fair, and she will practice beforehand to make sure she can bring your vision to life. Thank you Isabel for being part of one of my best days!!

The best haircut experience I've ever had! Professional, talented, funny and sweet; Isabelle does it all! I've lived in Traverse for over 18 years and have been to many salons/barbershops but none of them come close to what she's able to do. You're always "at home" when in her shop and the experience is more than just a business transaction. If you need a quick cut, trim, or full style + color she's your GO-TO for that and so much more. Walk ins available most days but I usually call ahead to secure a spot just in case.
