Stephanie G did a wonderful job! She took her time and really listened to me. Checked on me throughout the process and the outcome shows. I’m completely satisfied with the partial balayage. This was my first time doing color at blackbird, I’ve only done cuts but I trust the people who work there and was happy to try someone new. I’m always happy with the outcome. Plus just getting your hair washed and massaged by Jackie or Ana is a highlight for sure!

I recently moved back to the West Coast and had an unfortunate experience with highlights at a new salon. Afterward, I immediately called Blackbird, where I’ve been a loyal client for a couple of years. While I’ve worked with several talented stylists there, I typically book with Renee. If you’re looking for a salon that combines expertise with impeccable service, Blackbird is the place. They’ve always exceeded my expectations with every visit. Most recently, with their help for a color correction after my bad highlight job in, Renee knew exactly what to do to restore my hair and make me feel and look like myself again. I’m so incredibly grateful. The entire team at Blackbird is incredibly skilled, professional, and dedicated to their craft. I highly recommend them and encourage you to experience their exceptional service and talent for yourself.

I moved away from DC two years ago and I still think about Blackbird. They are so talented (s/o: Devin and Bianca). Under their watch I went from natural to purple, to brunette, to red. The vibes are great, the drinks are great, the hair services great. But the people are especially great. I miss you all - thank you for giving me high hair care standards!!

I’m so glad I found Blackbird! Natasha is AMAZING and did my hair color for my wedding, which ended up being my favorite part of my look. Ever since I had my first appointment, I’ve been impressed about Blackbird staff’s attention to detail and emphasis on educating their clients. While it can be pricey, I am always willing to pay for what I know will be a good service (no more hair chair anxiety!) and stylists are willing to work with you and your budget in case you want something lower maintenance and only want to come in twice a year. Something I also appreciate is that there has been solid staff retention, and staff seem happy to work there – I am always more willing to spend money in places that treat their workers well. I also get hair cuts and blowouts there and always come out feeling amazing. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I have been a client of Blackbird since their opening. The salon has great vibes and so do all the stylists. Devin has been coloring my hair for years, and it’s always on point. Bianca cuts my hair (both curly and regular cuts) and I really appreciate that they both care about the integrity and health of my hair. I got married last year and the color/highlights we did prior to the wedding was my favorite color to date. I received so many compliments. I even came to Blackbird for a blow out the day of my rehearsal dinner to feel my best. There is no one else I trust. I’m so thankful for this salon and team!
