I genuinely feel lucky that I was referred to Blank Canvas because the entire experience has been incredible. I started seeing Emily Sawyer a little over a year ago because I needed a new stylist and I wanted to learn more about extensions, and my hair journey with her has been absolutely magical. She does such a thorough consultation at every appointment and directly asks for my constructive feedback about the last cut/color/install. She routinely asses my hair health for any changes and we go over the products I'm using (and how I'm using them) to make sure we are setting me up for success between appointments. I love that I can fully trust her to deliver honest feedback in the kindest way, and she's so fun to hang with for an afternoon! She is also a wonderful advocate for her clients. We recently ordered a new set of extensions and ran into some problems with the hair quality, and while we tried to self-remedy the problem she was an open forum for any and all questions I had and she didn't even hesitate going to bat for me with the brand to request a replacement/refund after our troubleshooting was unsuccessful. I cannot express how different my experience with Emily has been compared to every other stylist I've been to. It's so refreshing. Also, shout out to Chris for being an MVP and responding to my Instagram messages asking for Emily's coffee order so I could surprise her with a treat, love you for that. Blank Canvas as a salon is a total vibe. Everyone who works there seems like they are having a blast being creative and as a whole they really value continuing education. The stylists openly cheer for each other, offer advice and lend a helping hand during appointments. The salon also has a phenomenal plant collection and none of the plants are even remotely dying, so they obviously love it there too. The salon truly has such an authentically inclusive culture and I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I travel from out of state just for Jake Doble to do my hair. He is incredible, a hair genius, and I trust him with my life. He’s so friendly, and always has a suggestion for what would look best for me and he’s always right! So thankful to have found a hair stylist that knows how to dye naturally red hair (and will actually do it!). The salon is clean and everyone is so friendly, can’t recommend this place enough.
