About Christopher's Barber Shop
Hot towel shaves and precision fades define the core offerings at Christopher's Barber Shop, where gentlemen grooming in Centereach takes on a refined, traditional character. Because they require appointments, customers experience a structured, unrushed session that prioritizes meticulous detail over quick turnover. The process begins with a thorough consultation, ensuring each cut aligns with the client's specific style preferences before the clippers ever touch skin. Following the haircut, the hot towel treatment relaxes the facial muscles, making the subsequent straight-razor shave feel exceptionally smooth. This attention to comfort transforms a routine maintenance visit into a restorative ritual. Because the shop operates as cash-only, transactions are swift and straightforward, allowing patrons to exit promptly without waiting for card terminals to process. The wheelchair-accessible parking and on-site restroom further enhance the ease of the visit, removing logistical barriers for all guests. With a 4.9/5 rating across 126 reviews, the establishment has solidified its standing through consistent quality and respect for the craft. Regulars return not just for the sharp lines, but for the reliability of the service. Because the environment is designed to be good for kids as well, families can coordinate schedules without needing separate stops. The team’s approach balances old-school technique with modern hygiene standards, creating a space that feels both nostalgic and professionally managed.

If you need a quality haircut for a decent price, there's not a better spot on the island. Chris has been cutting my hair for close to 15 years now and I've never been unsatisfied with the service I received. Old or young, Chris is the best barber for you!
Matthew Ross — 5/5 (via Google)
He gives great haircuts and the prices are very good. Takes his time with your hair and is willing to stop and have you look at it to give feedback first if needed. Very welcoming and clean atmosphere (clean tools as well) and he's extremely friendly. Last time I went, there was no line and I was in and out very quickly (with a great cut). Overall, it's a great barbershop and I highly recommend it. Stop in or make an appointment, you won't regret it.
Hatchman — 5/5 (via Google)
I travel over half hour, the best cuts! Got another great cut today 3/3/18. Best barbers around. Christopher is the best, Clean, sanitary, always polite and the wait is never too bad. Saw two reviews that I feel are false, that's silly. I looked at one of the guys other reviews, not any positive reviews, all negative. He obviously looks to bring people down.
