Jamil is simply the best barber in the business. He works with such precision and partners with you to get the results you want and need. He is genuine, kind, and a great person to just chat with; he makes you feel at ease and is a great energy to be around. I’ve been getting some version of a fade for years, but never really felt like my haircut was consistently good until Jamil. Go see him, you won’t regret it!!

Just moved to Austin and didn’t know where to go for a haircut, but I’m really glad I picked Common Space. Jamil is amazing, super friendly, easy to talk to, and very professional. He does excellent fades and really takes his time to get everything right. The overall vibe of the shop is great, and the experience was top-notch. I highly recommend Jamil to anyone looking for a solid barber in Austin.

I have been coming here and requesting Jamil nail down a flow that is equal parts professional, classy, and easy to upkeep for some time. He has always delivered and I will never go anywhere else! To boot, the space is always clean and upbeat. I look forward to cuts with Jamil and visiting the shop every month. Highly recommend if you’re tired of less than adequate cuts, non-personable barbers, and dingy shops. This place hits all the high notes!

Got my first cut from there today. Jamil did a fantastic job with my curly hair, taking my input into account and creating a look I felt great about. Spent the rest of the day feeling like a million bucks and got several spontaneous compliments from friends on the cut. Personable and friendly atmosphere, will definitely make it my new regular spot.

Jamil could move his shop to San Marcos. I’d be there. Best Austin Barber that was near me but now I’ve found the best Austin Barber period. Several years in and I’ve never cheated lol Exactly what I ask for and more each time, making sure I’m lookin fresh.
