I was in SGF, desperate for an emergency hair and beard trim before a big video conference call that popped up on my calendar, so I decided to try Dapper Barber because it looked like a place I could trust to trim my beard correctly. Boy, am I glad I did! The owner, Sean, cut my hair and beard, and 1) my beard has never looked better, because 2) nobody has ever paid so much attention to detail and been so meticulous in shaping it. I walked into Dapper Barber looking frizzled and slightly homeless, and when I walked out, I felt like I could have stepped into a beard competition and had a fighting chance at a trophy. Sean also did an excellent job with my hair, and convinced me that I was combing my hair slightly wrong for the past decade, showed me a better way to do it, and then shaped the hair up around it, and it looks better. Why haven't the many barbers I've been to over the years noticed that and offered to fix it for me? IDK, but Sean did, and I'm grateful. He's truly an artist and a craftsman with scissors and clippers, and he's good company, too. Further, the ambiance at Dapper is... well, dapper. The place is like a museum of dapper gentlemanhood over the years. Next time I'm in town, I'll plan to be there longer for another hair and beard trim, and to spend extra time marveling at all the artifacts and curiosities around the shop. One could make men's I Spy books by taking pictures of the shop--and I'd buy that, too! It's a shame I live so far from SGF; otherwise, I'd never go to another barbershop again.

I had my first service at Dapper Barber last week. I opted for the "Aristocrat" and absolutely loved it. My barber took the time to identify what I had in mind, and we decided to try something new. I left with an exceptional cut, a great massage and much more. The aesthetics of the place are awesome, and full of history. Will definitely be back again.

You might walk in looking like a beast, but you will walk out looking like a King. I have always enjoyed my time at Dapper Barber. There is great conversation and atmosphere. They are professionals and treat you with respect. It is a great place to get a haircut and beard trim. You will leave feeling renewed.

I’ve gone to see Sean for around a year now to have him cut and take care of my beard. He’s done a fantastic job! He listens to what I want, gives suggestions and shows me what I need to do in between visits to keep it looking good and healthy. Sean and all the people there (men and women barbers, if you have a preference) I’ve interacted with have been friendly and relaxed. The building has an awesome vibe to it looking classy (just like the people!) and eclectic. You can also offer alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks there. Their prices are fair and you’ll leave feeling you got your moneys worth.

One of our favorites places in Springfield. It’s the best barber shop and it’s so much fun. They give straight razor shaves, haircuts, and have a fun bar. They also have a shoe shine, pool table, and lots of seating for those that have partners who want to hang out too. The secret speakeasy downstairs is fun. I hope they have it up and running soon because it’s such a beautiful space. Shoutout to Scott who made our visit so memorable and fun. We can’t wait to go back.
