I booked my first silk press at Elevate Salon in Brixton with Danielle, and it was a really great experience. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and I was even offered hot chocolate and snacks, which was such a nice touch. My hair was washed and blow-dried beforehand, and Danielle did my silk press. The results were amazing. She really knows what she’s doing. She also talked me through how to keep it healthy going forward and I was shown how to wrap my hair properly, which I really appreciated. I had my hair done for a party, and people kept complimenting me and saying they thought it was a wig because it looked so good. I absolutely loved the results and I’m so happy with my hair.

Yvonne was amazing — very professional and polite, and she made me feel extremely comfortable throughout my appointment. She took the time to explain each step of the process and the products she was using, which I really appreciated. My hair was also trimmed and now looks so much healthier and better. I’m really pleased with the outcome and couldn’t be happier.

Elevate I would 100% recommend. I got there on a Friday evening and realised it was so busy because they are so popular. It was not ideal that I was being moved from one wash sink to another but I guess depends on who needs use the sink more urgently. I think it would be great to see them expand. Yewande washed, detangled and treated my hair so lovely and accommodating, made me feel welcome and I enjoyed speaking to her. I then to Latisha to do my silk press who was kind and very informative. She let me know my hair was but dense, how I should look after it and what I should expect which was so helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were a vibe. I felt so happy after and was able to get some content for myself. I’ve been getting compliments from the moment I left and I aim to go again for regular trims. Thank you!

I'd wanted a bob for months, and after reading the reviews for Elevate, I knew I'd found the spot to get one. My stylist, Jasmine, was phenomenal; she greeted me with the biggest smile and warmest presence, and we had a quick chat about my hair goals and hang-ups. She walked me through what we'd be doing (a scalp treatment, silk press, and chop) and made me feel super safe and cared for. I had a great time in the salon; from the music to the refreshments to the conversations, it reminded me of being among friends. And yes, I'm obsessed with my new cut! It was exactly what I wanted, and I can't thank Jasmine, Carl, and the Elevate team enough for making me feel welcome and loved on. I will be back!
