I recently visited First Nails with friends for a girls’ day out, and overall, we had an okay experience. The staff was welcoming after some time of us just standing there. We had an appointment, they were able to seat all three of us together for gel pedicures with not too long of a wait. The salon itself in my opinion is incredibly clean— only one of two nail salons I’ve ever been to that didn’t have a strong acrylic smell. Every station looked sanitized thoroughly, and they opened fresh, sterilized tools and polish for me. The space was tidy, calm, and had a relaxing vibe with music that made us feel instantly comfortable. The gel pedicures were beautifully. Even though it was done what seemed quickly, the color went on smoothly, the massage was soothing, and the overall attention to detail was great. I waited to write this review until I saw how the gel held up, my pedicure still looks fresh—no chips, no peeling, and still glossy. That kind of lasting quality is a big win in my book. Now, to be honest, one small mishap did happen—during my cuticle cleanup, the tech accidentally nipped me and made my cuticle bleed (oops, I’m okay!). It was sore for a couple of days afterward, but I could tell it was an accident and not due to carelessness. She was very apologetic and gentle after that. Even with that minor incident, I would absolutely return again. I do wish they had more information available online, but that’s not a deal breaker. I called and had to ask questions because I couldn’t find any package info or pricing online or when I walked in. The overall experience, the cleanliness, the friendly service, and the long-lasting pedicures outweighed the little hiccup. If you’re looking for a nail salon that’s group-friendly, professional, and clean, First Nails is definitely worth checking out.
