I was traveling for work and had some time for a much needed trim. I wish I could remember the stylist's name. She was very friendly, took me (with no appointment) right away and did exactly what I asked her to do. I left with healthier hair and not too much length taken off. I have very wavy, coarse hair and she took off the ends of the layers. When she was finished my hair felt so smooth and silky.

I recently decided to test Great Clips versus Sports Clips. A week ago, I went to this location while a friend visited my favorite Sports Clips. Both of us opted to arrive in person to avoid having to jockey for an online slot, and my friend and I kept in contact via text for progress updates. Each stylist at Great Clips had a client within the first 5 mins of opening; Sports Clips filled up just as fast. The main difference? Great Clips wasn't overrun. By the conclusion of my visit, the lobby of Great Clips was uncrowded. By comparison, every chair at Sports Clips (and then some) was taken. So, does that mean Sports Clips is better? Absolutely not. I paid $18 for the same $25 haircut offered at Sports Clips. Even more important? Great Clips got it right, and I don't have to let it grow out a couple weeks for a touch up like we have in the past at Sports Clips. Final Verdict: Go with Great Clips over Sports Clips. It's less crowded, more affordable, and you won't be disappointed with the end product. Pro Tip: Are you a frequent flyer with the most-booked stylist at Sports Clips? Ask for Tameca at Great Clips; she knows what she's doing.
