I have been going to Caylee for my haircuts since I moved here about 4 years ago. She is a highly professional stylist who knows exactly whats she's doing with a pair of scissors. I knew the first time that she cut my hair that I wanted to keep her as my stylist. she is the very best! Lois Hurley

I was running late and had a lot of errands, so I checked the online check-in feature they have at Great Clips and was happy to find that there was no wait here. I checked in and was promptly seated by the stylist who proceeded to sell me a gift card with less expensive haircuts, so I'm going to be getting haircuts for 1/3 the going rate for roughly the next half year. I was in and out in no time.

I am picky about how my hair looks. The older I get the pickier I am because it has changed over time. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Great Clips, but I have seen their various shops around town. I had been going to a rather upscale place and paying what had become quite a bit for a 20-25 minute haircut only (I washed my hair before going). The place I had been going was *very* comercial, rather noisy, with many stylists, and a huge number of expensive hair products on their shelves in the waiting room. At my age, (70's) I just wanted as good haircut and nothing else. The previous stylist I used for a year or two knew exactly how to cut my hair and I was usually done in 20 minutes. She was usually pleasant and semi-chatty, but when the owners (the stylists - I think maybe 6-7 of them) raised their prices there, I decided to try to find something else which was not as expensive. As luck would have it there was a Great Clips I found only a five minute drive from home. I decided to pop in one day and ask a few questions and check it out. Luckily for me, Dawn, the manager, was there, and I spoke with her and she explained how you "check-in" on your phone or computer using an app (for phones), and it tells you when you open the app what the "wait time" is for a haircut. Unless you are lucky you can't pick the same stylist every time, but I have used four different women and they were all very pleasant and gave me a great haircut - for *less than half* what I had been paying! Dawn cut my hair the first time, did a fine job, and was very pleasant. She did NOT rush. I could have had 1-2 other optional things like hair washing done, but I can do that at home. Otherwise it is $7 extra. I am old enough to get a "senior discount" even (don't knock it), and when she told me my total bill I was suprised and happy! Even if I have her a 20% tip, it was half what I had been paying. My hair looked as good or better, and it's only five minutes away for me. UPDATE: Since my first haircut with Dawn, I have been seeing Summer there and she has been doing a great job. She is likewise very friendly, like Dawn. Summer has many years of experience cutting hair, and she always takes her time, so that my haircut is cut the way I like it and the way she also thinks it looks good, as an experienced hair stylist. So, yes, it is a franchise, and there is no free coffee, wine to my knowledge. I always take my own water everywhere I go. But when I get there, there is no time to read, because quite soon Summer is ready for me. I call that great service! Great Clips has a phone app and a computerized system, showing you what time to leave and where you are "in line," which is great. The stylist puts in "notes" about how the person likes their hair, what kind of shaving blades and other things they used, etc. So, I could go anywhere in the US to a Great Clips, and they would "know my haircut!" Very clever idea. So if you want a very clean, very convenient, very reasonable hair cut, this is a place you will get more than your money's worth! FIVE stars for this place.

Summer is my favorite stylist. When she’s not there the other girls are able to style my hair. She deserves a raise!!
