I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now and have been inked by nearly every artist in the place. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I can be particular in what I want and every artist has been able to take the idea I have in my head and make it real right in front of my eyes. When my creativity gets out of hand and my ideas wouldn’t really work in the space that I have set for the tattoo, the artists have been able to steer me in a direction that still gives me what I want and will still look good as a tattoo. I will be coming to this shop until given a reason not to, and I just don’t see that happening

I've been a client at this shop for 8 years and I have only positive things to say. I have pretty exclusively been Tabithas client but every artist is friendly and talented. I can always walk in and everyone is personable and relaxed. Willing to answer questions and generally dedicated to clients leaving with what they want. A lot of people come to me for shop recommendations and I have reccomended artists here I do not have tattoos from personally because of the sheer professionalism I see from everyone and the familiarity I have garnered with the various artists portfolios. Customer service goes a long way, and I truly feel I am included and regarded in every tattoo that goes on my body when I come here. Anyways, thanks for making my arm cooler 😁

I’ve seen a guy on here talking shit because his person was sick and has no patience or morality’s what so ever so I’m here to leave my review this is the only place I have gone for my tattoos ever. Never once had a bad experience I also have autism which play into places I go such as the people and atmosphere, with that I say this is the most welcoming staff and place. This is the only place I will get my tattoos! Carl is the guy who’s always done mine and always goes out of his was to be sure I feel comfortable and safe. My tattoos are always reasonably priced, everything is clean and everyone is very welcoming and loving

Gypsy Moon has been my home tattoo studio since 2019. My artist, who is also the owner, Josh Wiley, is the only one that I trust in the Columbia area putting needle to my skin. He has a beautiful and unique style! As an artist myself, it is always so exciting giving him a reference drawing and then giving him artistic licensing to make it a TRUE Josh Wiley piece. He has been doing my entire sleeve that symbolizes a difficult season that we were going through piece by piece in real time. Josh appreciated the depth of the symbolism and importance and always asked what the updates were at the next session. He is now my mother’s tattoo artist and did my daughter’s first tattoo! My daughter is working hard building her portfolio of flash pages and canvases as she earns her BA in Art for the next year until she can get an apprenticeship hopefully at Gypsy Moon! Josh Wiley’s work on me really saved my girl in a way. She was so enamored by the artwork. Already being an artist herself it just made sense to get my tattoo machines out and even purchase some new ones for her to give it a try. She was hooked. During that difficult season I mentioned previously my poor girl had turned to self harm but once she saw something so beautiful come out of something that symbolizes a painful battle in Josh Wiley’s work, the self harm stopped. Instead of cuts she would have stencils. She would wear them for several weeks before deciding if she wanted to put it on herself permanently. Everything she has done has been so pretty, creative and well thought out. I am so grateful for Gypsy Moon in more ways than one. This is a shop where relations are made between client and artist. Where this shop becomes YOUR shop too. Love it! Thank you Gypsy Moon
