Travis Krull is the best colorist and cutter in Kansas City. I have been a customer since 2012 and adore Silver Screen. I found Silver Screen when I was looking to do balayage on my hair. I found silver screen and it was a convenient location in downtown Kansas City. They are complete professionals in the color arena. Usually my appointment with Travis also includes other hairstylist who are working for him. They will usually apply the color. Travis comes in for the final cut and to make sure the color is right. Plus a salon with a dog is the right place for me. Update 7/15/21. Told Travis I wanted to go wedge cut, flapper style. As usual he delivered. Travis & Silver Screen are now Hairmetric. I have been going shorter and shorter and asked him to make me look like David Bowie! I love my new hair. Update 12/25: we are going for a mullet. The results are fabulous.

I have been going to Silver Screen for years. Travis and his team have my highest recommendation! Even when I lived 3 hours away I always made a point to book while I was in town because Travis gives the BEST haircuts. He always takes his time with my cut, color, and styling (and I have A LOT of hair!). Everyone at the salon is attentive, professional, and while still maintaining a casual and relaxing atmosphere. My mom, grandma, boyfriend, and a handful of friends all go here as well, so I can confidently recommend this place to just about anyone. Awesome location and local business to support here in KC!

This is a cute salon with a great theme and amazing staff. I saw Chelsea and LOVED her! All of the stylists were fun and Chelsea is the queen of fashion colors. I asked for "fire hair" and it turned out perfect, she is a true artist. I WILL be back again. *edit- this time I got Christmas hair and still love Chelsea! She does an amazing job!

I am pretty picky about who touches my hair and I was extremely impressed with Travis, he did an amazing job on my cut and he really knows what he is doing with color. Also my hair feels so healthy and silky now! The atmosphere of the salon was great and the staff was professional and friendly. I also love that the salon is in the Kansas City Arts District, it's so convenient and they have so many creative artists showcased there! I will definitely be going back for all my hair care needs. 10 /10 recommend.
