I first got tattooed by Eric in Amarillo, now that he owns a shop in Weatherford, TX, I’ll gladly drive the five hours to get some work from him. Great shop environment, and of course great tattoo work!

I have been wanting a sparrow and music tattoo for years, but couldn't ever find a sample or an artist that could capture my vision. This was a deeply personal tattoo to memorialize my dad. I had a completely different picture of what the tattoo would look like, but after sending all my ideas to Cody, he came up with something far more beautiful and special than I could have hoped for! He listened to what was important to me and worked with me to get all of the elements in the design to create a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art, and it came out BEAUTIFULLY! I can't recommend Cody enough- he's phenomenally talented, patient, and skilled. The shop itself was also really nice- very clean and comfortable. The other artist (Eric) and the apprentice were incredibly friendly and efficient. Everyone who came in to get pieces done while I was there with Cody left with huge smiles on their faces. It was so worth the 70 mile drive to Weatherford. If you are considering getting a tattoo, definitely check out Heart Under Blade. You won't regret it!!
