I walked in to Historic Tattoo today for a small Tattoo and I was a bit nervous but within a couple minutes I knew I was in the right place! I was greeted by Erica and she was lovely! VERY friendly, has a great attitude and puts you at ease right away and I really appreciated that! She then introduced me to Krystian who was very nice and very helpful! We had a short discussion about the design and he drew up a great simple design just as I wanted. The Tattoo came out great the atmosphere was awesome and everyone there makes you feel right at home! I also got to meet the owner Craig and he was very personable and made sure I had the best experience possible! I HIGHLY recommend Historic Tattoo and I will be back for more!

I visited historic tattoo for the first time last weekend and it is definitely one of my favorite shops that ive ever been to. The staff and artists were all super nice and they have some really cool options when it comes to picking a flash tattoo. The shop is cozy and the music was good. Let me just highlight one more time that everyone there was so nice. I decided to make the trip from sacramento to see Tony and it was easily one of the best experiences I've had. I followed him back when he was working out of SF and have always wanted to get tattooed by him. He was super friendly, professional, had a lot of artwork to choose from and honestly I dont know why but this was one of the least painful tattoos ive ever gotten. I will be back soon for a custom piece!! If youre looking for American traditional work in the Portland area you need to check out Tony and the others at historic tattoo!

I got my first tattoo here from Tony, was an amazing experience!! Super cool person and fantastic artist. It healed really well and has been a conversation starter for me many time over. Although I live pretty far from Portland. If I’m ever in the area I will 100% be coming back for another piece

Krystian is so amazing! He’s done a ton of work on my husband and has done two tattoos for me this month! He’s super personable, a great artist and his practice is very clean and organized! The shop is awesome, everyone is super nice! I highly recommend Krystian and Historic!

Googled “Portland traditional tattoo artists” and narrowed it down to Historic Tattoo. This shop had a really really solid roster of talented artists. Tony Vyeda had the perfect mix of amazing traditional skills and just enough humor mixed to make me reach out through the shop’s website. He got back to me really quickly. He worked with my ideas and my schedule. He works quickly. In a very precise way. Efficiently. Easy conversation. The shop itself is gorgeous. Really good vibes from all the staff. In a really cool part of town. Went to one of the nearby food carts and there are enough other things nearby to make a day of it. I visited from Beaverton so that was a bonus. Will recommend this shop to friends. Definitely will recommend Tony.
