This was my first tattoo, go big or go home. It was a dedication piece for my late parents (Mom 🇵🇷; Covid, Dad 🇨🇺 1/2025). I had no idea that color was going to sting. Pierre, my artist was very patient with me. This was post-marathon when the company was offering tattoos, I wanted something extra. I gave Pierre my idea and design, told him my story, he was inspired and made it happen. Super clean environment, with a lot of space. I'm already talking to Pierre about my next idea on my shoulder/ chest area. Very knowledgeable on how to treat post tattoo. The coloring and lining are wonderful. So pleased with the end results. #leavingFOOTPRINTS #painwithapurpose #footprints #healingwithstep #onestepatatime #onemileattime Parking is very challenging but the train station is across the street.

I got my first tattoo at Hustle Butter — a flash design to celebrate completing the NYC Marathon — and the experience couldn’t have been better. The studio is super clean and welcoming, with a calm vibe that immediately puts you at ease. Everyone there was friendly and professional without feeling rushed. My artist was Mello, and I can’t recommend them enough. Their linework is so clean, and they made great suggestions to make sure the sizing and placement felt right for me. Even though it was a flash piece, Mello made it feel personal and intentional. I felt Mello really cares about the art — the patience, the precision, the energy — all of it. I walked out feeling proud, grounded, and like my tattoo truly marked the moment I earned. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, I highly recommend Hustle Butter Studio and Mello as an artist. You’ll be in great hands.

I’ve been tattooed a few times at Hustle Butter by Mello- and each time has been a fantastic experience! His dedication to his work shows in every step. Mello is insanely knowledgeable about tattoos and he always puts an immense amount of care into not only the tattoos, but also making sure that I’m comfortable and that our environment is ultra clean. He has tons of sick designs and works in multiple styles so he always has a piece that fits my vibe. Definitely hit up Mello at Hustle Butter if you want an awesome tattoo and a great experience!

From the moment we walked into Hustle Butter Tattoo, the atmosphere was so welcoming! Everyone there was friendly, professional, and the shop itself was super clean and inviting. My friends and I stopped by as walk-ins to get our NYC Marathon tattoos, and they were able to accommodate us right away. Mello was our artist, and he was absolutely fantastic — professional, patient, and had such a gentle touch. We couldn’t be happier with our tattoos! I highly recommend Hustle Butter Tattoo and especially Melo if you’re looking for a great experience and amazing work.
