Ricky surprises me every damn time. From my first tattoo to now several from him.. definitely someone I recommend 😁

I had a consult at a high-end shop in Downtown FW after work today. After meeting with an artist and leaving a deposit, I walked away with an appointment in mid May, a hefty quote and overall feeling of dissatisfaction. Afterwards, I headed into the Stockyards to pick up some shirts and as I was walking back to my truck to go home I happened to notice Knuckle Up, so I went inside and started talking to Vic and Ricky about my plans and how I eventually wanted multiple pieces to become a sleeve. Well, one thing led to another and I decided to get something right then and there. Two things of note: 1- this is my first tattoo in over 30 years. 2- I’ve lived on the East Coast my entire life until I moved here 2 weeks ago. I fell in love with Texas the first time I visited and now I live 18 months later. It means everything to me to be here, so this is my housewarming present to myself and personal dedication to the last place I’ll call home. Vic killed it! It’s exactly what I envisioned and now it’s the foundation and inspiration for everything that follows. I’m so stoked to finally have some good ink on my body and that holds such meaning to me. It was fate that tuned my head to the left while walking down Main St and the journey is just beginning. Not only did I get an amazing piece, but I met two of the coolest guys in town. Next up is the piece i had planned to have done Downtown, but they can keep my deposit, Im not going anywhere but KU and I’ll be back before this one even fully heals. After that I wanna get a custom piece of Vic’s art. My daughter wants to get her first tattoo and now wont have to stress out where to take her and have a killer artist I can entrust her to as well.

Rickey is amazing. The first three were within the first 2 day’s. The one in white tank was day 2 of the upper sleeve. The ones in swim suit was after they had already been there for close to a year. I was at the pool everyday. Obviously sunscreen them like crazy to preserve their beauty. I receive compliments on them all the time, especially the “caged bird set free and looking back at a ghost girl” as she seems to have become described. Rickey is passionate about his work and it shows in it. His an extremely amazing person. I hope these reviews help his talent be known. That his wrist and hand stands many more years as he still has a lot to do to make people happy with his talent. Thank you, so much, Rickey!! You’re the best and can’t wait to see you again soon!
