I took my 7-year old daughter to get cornrolls. I was scheduled for 3pm,and she started doing her hair at that time. My daughter is very tender headed but (Tima-Owner) was very patient with my daughter and also braids very quick! The price was also reasonable! Please make sure to tip your stylist if its to your capacity! 10/10

My daughter and I got our hair braided at Kwayah African Braiding Hair Salon the last week of August, and I couldn’t be more impressed. We came to Houston the last week of July for the Junior Olympics and needed a braider fast. After a quick Google search, Kwayah stood out with the best ratings and reviews, so I reached out. From the very first phone call, they were welcoming and professional. I decided on medium Senegalese twists, and it took just under three hours, even with my thick hair. The shop was clean, the family was kind, and their teamwork was impressive. I’m not gonna lie, when the husband started parting and twisting my hair, I was a little nervous. But he surprised me the most his work was flawless and really blew me away. His wife and the young lady working alongside him were equally talented, and the end result was beautiful. I was so impressed that I brought my daughter back the very next day for box braids. Weeks later, her style still looks fresh (she ties it down at night, but it’s clear their hands are gifted). We came all the way from Oklahoma, and these hairstyles were the perfect compliment to our trip. Any time we’re back in Houston, I’ll definitely be returning. I take my 7 year old daughter her and would not take her anywhere else. The couple who owns it are the best. They are so patient and understanding with kids. Also, when you show them a picture of what you want, they get it exactly right every single time. Its such a great place.
