Customer Reviews for Lee's Barbershop

I went to the guy I forgot his name but it starts with a C. He has a lot of tattoos. I'm so sorry I can't remember his name. His service was top tier. I was greeted before I went into the barbershop. He was friendly and got along with my son. It was my son Eli's first time at a barbershop. He is now my son original barber! The fact that he was playing gospel music, I believe he was heaven sent. The vibe was unreal. Thank you.

Drakus Wiggins — 4/5 (via Google)

You can generally find an open chair from 7am to 7pm any day of the week and the barbers are decent. Just talk them through you cut and you'll be satisfied.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lee’s Barbershop in SE, Washington, DC, and I must say, it was an experience that far exceeded my expectations. Founded in 1986, this shop isn’t just a place to get a haircut—it’s a cornerstone of the community. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Lee himself as my barber. His kindness and deep knowledge of his craft were immediately apparent. Not only did he give me an incredible haircut—sharp, crisp, and exactly what I wanted—but he also took the time to mentor an apprentice during my visit. The conversation between Mr. Lee and his apprentice was inspiring; he wasn’t just teaching the art of cutting hair, but also imparting valuable life lessons that will undoubtedly benefit the apprentice for years to come. It was a powerful reminder of how barbershops used to be community hubs, where wisdom was shared just as freely as conversation. As I looked around, I saw that all the barbers in the shop were highly skilled and passionate about their work. It’s clear that this is more than just a job for them—it’s a craft they take pride in, and it shows in the results. Whether you’re looking for a fresh fade, a classic cut, or anything in between, this is the place to go. Lee’s Barbershop is located in Southeast DC, in a very safe and welcoming area. They accept walk-ins, but I recommend calling ahead to make an appointment, as their popularity is well-deserved. I will absolutely be a customer for life and highly recommend Lee’s Barbershop to anyone seeking not just a haircut, but a genuine, community-driven experience. Trust me—you won’t be disappointed!
