Walking through the door, there's always the low thrum of the machines humming beneath the buzz of conversations. The air smells faintly of antiseptic and a subtle sweetness from the antibacterial soap they use. From initial consultation to final bandage, the entire process feels personalized. The artists take the time to understand the client's vision, offering suggestions and ensuring comfort throughout. The team explains every step, using only high-quality inks and sterilized equipment. They create a relaxing yet professional atmosphere that puts even first-timers at ease, making it feel less like a transaction and more like a collaborative art project.
What distinguishes Live Free Tattoo isn't just their artistic talent; it's their commitment to aftercare. They provide detailed instructions, both verbal and written, on how to properly care for a new tattoo to promote healing and maintain vibrancy. But it doesn't stop there. The staff actively encourages clients to reach out with any questions or concerns during the healing process and even schedules check-in appointments to monitor progress and address any potential issues. They offer minor repair services that ensure the artwork ages gracefully and remains true to its original design.
The shop has earned its reputation through consistent quality and genuine care. Year after year, new and returning customers show their satisfaction. Reading through the online reviews, a pattern emerges: customers rave not just about the artwork itself, but also about the friendly atmosphere, the artists' professionalism, and the comprehensive aftercare. Drake was amazing! I was honestly nervous at first by everyone's attitude at first, only because they are way more laid back than most places I got quotes from. He asked for a deposit, which I totally respect when making an appointment. When actually getting to the tattoo, he free hand drew it on my arm with a marker, let it dry, and then started the line work. He was so amazing the lines were so straight and spot on to what I wanted actually above and beyond what I imagined as I gave him an idea I had and some pictures of reference. He let me have a break after the lines were all done, which was great as it's on my right shoulder, and I was lying on my side. Short break and back at it and finished up with color. All in all, it was about 4 hours total, including setup not bad at all. He asked for 50 less than the budget I gave him, which was completely fair. I appreciated the time he took and the work he did. It's by fair the best tattoo I have, and I will totally go back to him for future stuff. Thank you, Drake. I will be back!! I took a picture of the tattoo before he colored it, so I'm posting that too. The finished one is a bit hard to see because of the wrap on it, but once it heals, I'll try and update with a better picture. I'm sure it will heal quickly as it's small lines and minimal color, which I'm thrilled with!
