Massage Envy

First time customer at Massage Envy. I was scheduled for a massage as a surprise gift. They told my family member who scheduled it that they had to hold a credit card on file to reserve the appointment and that if I canceled the day of, that I would be charged. Two hours before the scheduled appointment, I received a text notification from Massage Envy letting me know that my massage therapist had a family emergency and that they needed me to call to reschedule my appointment. I called immediately after and left a voicemail requesting them to call me back. Eventually I spoke with the receptionist who allowed me to book a different appointment for the next day. I understand that emergencies happen, but my family member was pretty irritated that they cancelled so close to my appointment time and didn’t offer a discount for the rescheduled appointment. Instead of getting a body massage, I scheduled a facial and was told that it was for the same amount of time and the same price (for non-members the rate is a tad bit higher than for members). I called the afternoon of the appointment to confirm my appointment time and they didn’t answer, so I left a voicemail. I called one more time, and they still didn’t answer so I went with what I had written down hoping it was the right time. The location is very easy to get to and they have reserved parking spaces for their clients. The entire building was well-kept and smelled amazing. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly and offered memberships and other items they had for sale. When you schedule your first appointment, you need to arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment to fill out some paperwork. From there, you’re brought from the reception area to the waiting area which is more homier. Once you’re called by your therapist, they will bring you back to your room, ask you a couple more questions and go over some things and then your massage will begin. I believe my therapist name was Shannon and she did an absolutely excellent job with my facial. It was my first ever professional facial but it was very relaxing and my skin felt amazing afterwards. She gave some suggestions on skin routines and treatments for me to try but overall it was a great experience. The only thing I wish was better is having someone answer the phone and return calls instead of letting the calls go to voicemail.

I have had good experiences with Spokane's south Hill location. I have always had back and neck issues and bad upper body flexibility. I was connected with couple different therapists before I had an appointment with one that understood those issues and what to do to help. Each one was professional and upheld the mission of Message Envy. Dimitar is the therapist I schedule with to take care of my back. He is very cognizant of where the aches are and always asks how I am doing throughout the massage. He is very professional, always polite and respectful. Dimitar works hard on my "bags of rocks" in my muscles. His work is helpful for the nasty headaches I get from the tightness in my neck. I am grateful to have found someone who can help me take care of myself. I regularly recommend people to try this location out for their services.

This is a great location, but it's been extremely difficult to get massages because of staff that left during the pandemic and apparently problems hiring new therapists to replace those that left. I'm almost afraid to post this because it already takes months to get an appointment, but Dimitar is one of the best massage therapists I've ever had and I've had massages all over the world. He's very professional and intuitive. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have given up on this location until our community was fully recovered from this pandemic, but he's worth the wait.
