Michael is one of the few “real” barbers you will find in the greater New England area. The value proposition for the services is a no brainer, he gave an excellent fade on the sides, and then was able to give a proper scissor cut to balance out on top. Michael is not the type to rush you out of the chair, and focuses purely on the client in the seat until the cut is to their satisfaction. Also provides a great straight razor edge up and shave.

Mike at M.B. Barbering Co. won me over completely on day one—and honestly, it's one of the best barber experiences I've ever had. During my very first visit, I was waiting for the chair when it hit me: I'd left my debit card at home and had zero cash. No cards accepted, and it was getting close to closing time. I was embarrassed, apologized, and started heading for the door. But Mike wouldn't hear it. He insisted I stay, sit down, and get whatever I came for—no questions, no hesitation, even though he had no idea who I was or if I'd ever come back to pay (spoiler: I rushed right back the next morning to square up). What followed was hands-down the best haircut and beard trim of my life—and I've tried almost every barbershop around. Razor-sharp lines, a flawless fade, every detail perfectly dialed in. He took his time, listened, and clearly poured real pride into the work. It's rare to find someone who cares this deeply about their craft and their customers. Mike's skill is truly exceptional, the shop has that perfect no-nonsense, classic barber vibe (love the old-school feel), and the whole experience just feels genuine. I've been a regular ever since—can't imagine going anywhere else. If you're looking for a barber who actually gives a damn, Mike is the real deal. Highly recommend!

What a “Barber” should be! Very clean and nostalgic shop - take ya back in time. There is even an upper level where you can sit and play on the foos ball tables. Mike welcomes you with a Smile and provides the entire experience. His Google reviews speak for themselves and the reason I had to try out his services. I brought my 12 y.o. son, as we are new to the area and Mike immediately introduced himself and made him (us) feel welcomed. When it was my son’s turn, he engaged him to find out how he liked his cut and or wishes, etc. I do have to mention, Mike did a great job educating my son on his type of hair and possible cuts. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the final product. The attention to detail was spot on. Prices are best around, never mind the service/ experience.

Mike at M.B. Barbering is the real deal. He’s an old school barber in the best way.. professional, personable, and truly passionate about his craft. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel incredibly welcome. The straight razor shave, attention to detail, and care he puts into every cut are top notch. The shop itself is like stepping back in time, packed with awesome military memorabilia, classic decor, and a sense of pride that’s hard to find these days. You can tell Mike genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in giving every client a great experience. If you’re looking for a barber who knows the old ways but keeps everything sharp and modern, this is your spot. Hands down the best barber experience I’ve had in years.

I have nothing but great things to say about Mike and his shop. From the start, he listened carefully to exactly what I wanted, and it was clear his goal was to exceed my expectations. I visited him for the first time two weeks ago, and he made me feel like a regular. He’s incredibly welcoming and down to earth. I went back today and for once was actually looking forward to going to get my haircut. Mike doesn’t take appointments, so depending on timing, there may be a bit of a wait. Judging by the reviews, it’s easy to see why—he’s popular. That said, the wait often becomes part of the experience: a chance to relax and chat with people from the area. And if waiting isn’t your thing, rest assured that once you’re in the chair, his time and attention are 100% yours. He doesn't rush, making sure everything is exactly how you want it before the cape comes off. It’s absolutely worth the wait. I feel lucky to have him right in my backyard—but even if I didn’t, he’d still be worth the drive.
