About Modern Love
Crafting bespoke body art tailored to intricate individual ideas defines the daily work at Modern Love. Clients collaborate directly with tattooers on personalized concepts, transforming rough sketches or complex personal narratives into finished ink. Operating as a dedicated studio and creative retail outlet in Buffalo, they provide a focused environment where artists handle projects ranging from minimal linework to comprehensive custom sleeves.
Visiting the studio follows an intentional, organized sequence from start to finish. Because sessions require advance scheduling, patrons arrive at set times to review stencils, finalize sizing details, and settle into the workspace without rush. The appointment-only structure allows the artists to focus exclusively on one client's tattoo from application through complete aftercare instruction.
Distinctive for prioritizing tailored design solutions over generic flash, the shop handles complex tattoo concepts requiring thoughtful planning. They adapt imagery carefully to flow naturally with anatomy, ensuring each piece fits the client's vision precisely. This deliberate consultation process gives clients ample room to discuss adjustments before tattooing starts.
A solid 4.8 out of 5 star rating across 103 customer reviews reflects steady local reliability in the community. Their consistent 12 PM to 6 PM hours Monday through Saturday give Buffalo residents predictable access for scheduled sessions and follow-up care.
