I followed Christine from her previous salon to Moon Baby back when Moon Baby first opened. Moon Baby is a fabulous salon — amazing, professional staff who have always been super helpful and a cozy environment. I cannot say enough great things about Christine, specifically. I consistently get compliments on both her color work and her cuts. She has taken great care of my hair for over a decade now!

Moon Baby is the best! I’ve been seeing Christine for almost two years now and she has never let me down. I go for shag haircuts and styling. Most recently I started color blocking my hair due to the confidence Christine has given me to explore new hair adventures! Interior is warm, cozy, inclusive, and welcoming. Scheduling at Moon Baby is always a breeze and they are very accommodating to my late afternoon appointments. Highly recommend!

I am a 60+ professional and was looking for a modern haircut. Briana totally delivered. She listened carefully to what I liked and didn't like about my hair and offered suggestions. I really appreciate her skill and enjoy my time in her chair. The salon is well run and fun to go to.

To fully understand the life-changing haircut I received, I have to first give a brief backstory as to how we got here. I was raised by two beautiful woman that did not have much hair of their own in my lifetime, but took very good care of mine. I lost one in 2020, and the other in 2021, and that very next day I went into my bathroom and gave myself a FAB with kitchen shears. Ever since, I’ve been growing my hair out and only cutting an inch and a half or so off the bottom whenever I felt it needed it. Before the FAB of 2021, I had never had a good experience at a salon in the sense that the cut, color, style, there was always something that was off, and I would have to go home and fix it to my liking, usually near the face framing pieces because of a god-awful cowlick. My hair had finally gotten to the point that it was tickling my lower back and I was thinking something was crawling on me and that’s when I knew it was time. I had enough hair too put my faith into someone, but I had to find the right person. This past summer, we moved to Salem and would check out downtown on the weekends. I made note of the different salons to check out at home, and there’s definitely a lot of talent in Salem, but I kept coming back to Moon Baby. Not only was the website inviting, so easy to navigate & view everything, but I was greeted by photos of long, gorgeously colored locks. I don’t think there was an extension insight. And that’s how I knew I was going to be coming to the right place. They care about the integrity of their clients hair and not just making a profit and it shows in their artistry. That’s enough about the beautiful salon though, let’s get on to this amazing stylist. I don’t know if it’s the way the light was hitting the crown, but it looked like Del had a halo over her head and I knew it had to be a sign. Even though I know I am awkward and weird, I did not *feel* like that for a second. Very quickly, I started to let my mask drop. I cannot stress enough that this is the only time as a neurodivergent person that I have felt safe, comfortable, happy, and most importantly WANTED in someone’s chair. I’ve been told sometimes I talk in puzzles, but this expert took my inspo pics & word vomit and made magic. From giving me enough time to gage where the bad energy in my hair that needed to go was, to handing me the comb instantly when I asked to part it how I usually do — THEN REPLICATING THAT EXACT PART OVER AND OVER🙂‍↕️ I left with less hair than I initially planned to, and for the first time, it’s because that’s what *I* wanted. I cried the whole car ride home with happy tears, telling my girls how much I loved my new hair and that I hoped they did too. I don’t know how long I will be staying in Salem, but I absolutely will be making the drive back for appts or any time Del needs a canvas ❤️

Christine has supported me from bob to mullet to shag to mullet (again) and finally to pixie over the many years I've been working with her. Besides being an absolute delight, she is so so knowledgeable about different hair textures and how to work with them to get the effect you're seeking. I would have never braved the big chop without her expertise and her razor blade, and now I have the pleasure of strangers stopping me on the street to tell me how well my hair suits me. She's a genius, book to visit her at the sumptuously decorated Moon Baby Salon.
