Customer Reviews for NYC Barber Shop Museum (by Reamir & Co)
Andy Kelman — 5/5 (via Google)
For several months, I’ve passed by the shop and my curiosity kept growing. Today I stopped in and checked it out. I’m glad I did. There are several reasons why you should also check out this barbershop. There is an amazing array of old time barber shop related curios as well as barber chairs that are over 100 years old. And then, there is the proprietor, Arthur, who offers an historical perspective to the experience while cutting your hair. We talked about the origins of barbershops and how they used to perform minor medical procedures, and the history of the barber poles. To top it off, I got a great haircut! Service is excellent and pricing is moderate. What’s not to like?
Deborah Day — 5/5 (via Google)
Not only did my husband get a superb cut from the owner, we both learned about the history of barber shops: the meaning of the striped pole, etc. The shop is full of fascinating memorabilia. Highly recommend, for a great cut and an experience!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reamir Barber Shop is more than just a barbershop—it’s a journey through time! The combination of top-notch craftsmanship, a cozy atmosphere, and a stunning collection of antique barbering artifacts makes this place truly unique. Every detail reflects the rich traditions of classic grooming and barbering history. The barbers are highly skilled, and the service is exceptional. You can tell that quality and customer care are top priorities here. What makes this spot even more special is that it’s an official barbering museum, adding an extra layer of authenticity and charm. If you’re looking for more than just a haircut—if you want an experience—this is the place to go!

Absolute best barber in town! Egzon is a true artist with clippers. Got the perfect fade I’ve been trying to find for years. The vibe is chill, the cut is precise, and I’m always walking out feeling like a million bucks. Highly recommend!"
