I booked the Japanese Head Spa + Sculpting Facial through the Boxing Day promo advertised at $99. Leading up to the appointment, I received multiple reminder messages, which I did appreciate — although it did start to feel a little excessive. One of the messages asked me to complete a questionnaire about my hair type, which is important context for the rest of this review. At the start of the appointment, I was asked if I had any “concerns.” I mentioned that I have psoriasis, which I had already clearly stated in the questionnaire, along with the fact that my hair is curly. I was told the products being used would suit what I’d mentioned. During the session itself — absolutely amazing. The pressure was perfect, the scalp massage was incredible, and the hair washing was very relaxing. No complaints there at all. However, as the treatment went on, I noticed my hair starting to feel extremely heavy and tangled, especially from the roots through to the ends. I trusted the process and didn’t say anything at the time. Towards the final 15 minutes of the 1.5-hour session, my hair was brushed out. This is where things went downhill. You could audibly hear the knots as my hair was being brushed, and it felt very rough — to the point where I became stressed knowing my hair was being pulled, ripped, and breaking. I’m unsure whether conditioner was used (or if it’s included), but even with a detangling spray, it wasn’t enough. After about 5 minutes, the staff member seemed concerned as well and had me sit up so she could continue brushing my hair out in a chair. Thankfully, the knots were eventually removed, but I can only imagine how much hair I lost during that process. Later that day, I noticed my hair still hadn’t dried — despite being outside in 27°C weather, with wind and around 60% humidity. I’d also read prior reviews mentioning no blow-drying option, which seemed to align with this experience. Now, 24 hours later, while my scalp feels great and the products were clearly soothing for my psoriasis, my hair feels extremely damaged — dry, straw-like, and fragile. I’ve had to rewash it myself and use a leave-in conditioner just to try to restore some moisture. The amount of breakage from brushing was significant. Overall, the experience itself was enjoyable, but it feels like the pre-appointment hair questionnaire isn’t actually being taken into consideration — particularly for curly hair types. That raises the question of why it’s required in the first place, aside from liability. One final note: although the promo was advertised as $99, there is a surcharge, bringing my total to $100.88, which was a bit of a shock. I understand it was a Boxing Day promo, but it’s worth being upfront that surcharges apply regardless of the advertised price. To anyone who’s made it this far — I did enjoy my first experience here. Unfortunately, due to the condition my hair was left in, it will be my last. I’m not seeking a refund and I do not give permission to be contacted — this review simply reflects my personal experience

I booked the Japanese head spa with facial as a treatment for my birthday. The whole experience is incredible and relaxing. I booked a pretty late time as I needed to come after work. Claire the lovely therapist was amazing and so professional. The whole process just so smooth and relaxing. Claire also gave me very good suggestions as well for my hair loose issue. I will definitely come back for Claire!

I received a gift voucher for my bday that included a facial and head spa treatment. It was the best treatment I’ve ever had in my life! I’ve been let down so many times at day spas even when spending hundreds of dollars on top tier treatments and packages but Oasis delivered an out of this world experience for me. Bella has magic hands! Being a past therapist myself I could tell right from the beginning that she had the best training and skills and there wasn’t a single point during the treatment that I felt disappointed. Will def be coming back again and recommending to my family and friends! Thank you Bella for a wonderful treatment you really made my day 🤍
