I had my first curly cut and style with Athena, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for my next cut. Athena is super kind, friendly, and gives you exactly what you’re looking for. In the past, whenever I went for a trim, I was usually disappointed by how much shorter my hair ended up. But Athena listened to what I wanted — I got a trim that kept the length, and my hair looked just as long, but much healthier. She also gave me tips for more defined curls for someone who’s super low maintenance with their hair.

I had a great haircut with Athena after seeing her post on Salon Apprentice. I have fine 2b/2c hair, and she did a dry cut (always a good sign with curly hair), and brush styled and diffused it (also a good sign!) It looks beautiful and really restored my volume and curl without sacrificing a lot of length. I didn't come with any inspo pics and shared, generally, ablut my legth and layering preferences, and she worked her magic. The salon was super clean, the conversation flowed nicely without feeling forced, and she had good attention to detail. Thank you for a great haircut!

If you have thin hair (or any kind of hair, curly, problematic, or anything) & are looking for extensions with someone thoughtful, educated, and professional, I highly recommend Moriya. She installed butterfly weft extensions on my blunt, short hair with so much patience and detail, and I felt truly comfortable every step of the way that she knew exactly what she was doing. I’ve been to a lot of hairstylists and Moriya truly blew it out of the park, especially on the amazing extension cut (it’s not so easy to cut the ends to look natural). Highly recommend Moriya for all your extensions or haircut needs. And she offers many different types for of hair extensions for different people, not just butterfly wefts. and the rest of her salon seemed great as well! Thank you so much Moriya!! Anyone with curls- especially tight curls-knows the anxiety of trusting someone new with their hair. Too much cut, too little, uneven layers…the list goes on. When I first went to MoRiya for a single process, I was immediately struck by how deeply she understands curly hair (and yes, it helps that she has gorgeous curls herself!). The way she talked about, handled, and colored my hair put me completely at ease. I left not only looking great, but feeling great. She’s done her research on the best products and dyes—the process didn’t sting, and my curls came out softer and shinier than ever. Today I returned for a cut. I almost canceled out of fear that my hair was already too short, but it badly needed reshaping. I’m so glad I went- she gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had! Quick, confident, and absolutely perfect. MoRiya is truly a curl expert and a joy to go to. I’m beyond excited to have found my forever “hairapist.” ➰💇🏻‍♀️❤️

After years of bad haircuts I’m always a bit wary about trying out a new hair stylist but Athena knocked it out of the park. I truly think the way she cut my curly hair and styled it was the best I’ve ever had. She gave me exactly what I was looking for even though I was pretty vague on what I wanted. I loved the products used and appreciated her suggestions on how to care for my curls. She also was lovely to chat to and even was able to fit me in later in the day when I slept in and missed my initial appointment (sorry again!). Definitely recommend her!
