I have been coming to black onyx since they pretty much opened. It is the only place I trust to get pierced. Amanda has been such an amazing piercer ,she also works after hours to help style my ears which we’re working on now . She custom orders pieces. She spends countless hours just to make sure you are happy with the final product. She’s truly become one of my friends and I’m so glad I found this place . I’ll always be loyal here.

I went in during their Friday the 13rh/ Valentine's day special. The wait time was a little lengthy but i expected it especially with the sale they going on. The guy who checked me in was extremely nice. Jane did a wonderful job on my tattoo. Im definitely going back to see her when I get a chance to.

Me and my friend came in for piercings. The esthetic of the shop was everything, cool vibes, great music, and everyone was friendly. Our piercer was very knowledgeable and gave us the pros and cons of every piercings we were considering getting and helped us make an informed decision based on our lifestyles, anatomy, and overall health of the piercing. She was lovely and super funny. I would 110% recommend anyone in the Waldorf area to go to her for any work they wanted done!

Lucas is an incredible tattoo artist. His fine-line detail work is next level. Super precise, clean, and exactly what I was hoping for. He really takes his time to make sure every detail is perfect, and it shows in the final result. Professional, patient, and clearly passionate about his craft. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo and will absolutely be coming back and recommending him to others.

I very rarely ever write a review but I just have to say how amazing Amanda was! I love piercings, however I haven’t had the best luck finding someone that checks all the boxes for me. Until now! I took a leap of faith & came to Onyx mainly based off how amazing the shop looked in the online photos. Amanda was extremely professional and very informative about the entire process. She took her time to ensure that I had the proper anatomy for what I was wanting, and I love that! She even took great care and was extremely attentive to a health issue that I have & told her about. (Sometimes I just be passing out lol). She immediately stopped what she was doing when I told her this, got me a bottle of water & even asked fellow coworkers for some candy JUST to be prepared in the event I did pass out. The entire time she was piercing me she was checking in with me and how I was feeling. This is the ONLY piercing I have ever had that I did not pass out from having a pain response. Because this girl KNOWS HER SHIT. I immediately told her that she is officially my permanent piercer and I meant that!!
