Absolutely phenomenal! Luc (Lucas Scott when booking) is the best piercer I have ever been to. His station wall is covered in certificates and it is easy to see why. He assess your anatomy thoroughly to see if it can handle what you want to get, he knows all the metals/gems/jewelry offered in the shop and what sizing would look best on you, is friendly, extremely sanitary, and unbelievably knowledgeable about his craft. You have to see it for yourself to fully grasp his expertise. There are not enough good things to say about this place and its people. I will be recommending this spot to anyone looking for a piercing. I will add this though, their website says "parking can be hard to find" and that is not a joke. I suggest looking for a spot across the street and walking to the location because The Camp is packed.

Outer Limits Tattoo in Costa Mesa is the real deal. I’ve been fortunate to be tattooed at several great shops by some amazing artists, but this one truly stands out. The shop is spotless and extremely well-run, something I really appreciate as an older professional. Despite how polished and organized everything is, it still holds onto that classic tattoo shop vibe that gives you that same excitement you felt getting your first tattoo. A big part of that experience comes from Samara, who runs the shop. She’s incredibly professional, polite, and easy to work with. You can tell how hard she works to keep everything clean, tidy, and running smoothly. It’s clear she takes a lot of pride in making sure both artists and clients have the best possible experience. And then there’s Andrew Baysinger! I honestly can’t speak highly enough of him. His artwork speaks for itself, but what really sets him apart is his attitude and professionalism. He doesn’t have an ego, which is rare in such a talented artist. He’s always open to feedback and willing to talk through the little artistic details to make sure the design fits what I’m envisioning, without ever getting offended. At the same time, he’s honest enough to tell me if something might not look right or could be a bad long-term choice, and I respect that immensely. He genuinely wants his clients to leave happy and proud of the work. Every time I walk into Outer Limits Tattoo I feel that same excitement and energy that got me hooked on tattoos in the first place. Between the professionalism, creativity, and the genuine people who work there, it’s easily one of the best shops I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend Outer Limits Tattoo and if you can, book with Andrew Baysinger. You’ll walk away with great artwork, a great experience, and a place you’ll definitely want to come back to! Shoutout to Gregg for making my piercing experience so smooth! Angel hands is definitely true when it comes to his piercing. I was getting re-pierced and I was terrified, but he was so quick and supportive, I survived 😂 he made me feel very comfortable and was patient with me! And he also had free 3D printed keychains and stickers 😍 so awesome

I can’t say enough positive things about outer limits. The first thing that I loved was the responsiveness from the front desk when I called to inquire about piercings, they are super helpful and friendly. Online bookings are a breeze and then when I arrived, the facility was so squeaky clean, and of course everyone was super nice and professional. My piercer, Lucas was also professional and extremely thorough and communicative which I liked and needed. He was also on call for me and responded very quickly when I had some questions later on. I’m usually all about convenience with driving around because it seems like there are piercing places practically on every corner however, I won’t go anywhere else even if it’s just for a simple ring change out…Lucas is my guy!
