Customer Reviews for Papacanink Art & Tattoos
Elizabeth Toole — 5/5 (via Google)
Honestly stumbled upon Papacanink by accident (or kismet); but whatever the reason, I'm so thankful that the stars aligned! I could not be more excited to write my first review for Mark and Papacanink! If I could give more than 5 stars, I truly would. Even though I came in to get a "simple" fine line ear tattoo for my pup on my wrist, Mark took the time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted, even chatting with me on Facebook the day before! The shop is exceptionally clean, while also warm and inviting, and despite being on my wrist, I felt absolutely nothing - no swelling or redness either. Truly, my tattoo is exactly what I wanted, and chatting with Mark felt like talking with an old friend - time went by too fast, IMO! I will definitely be back and will definitely steer any of my friends in the direction of Papacanink. It's one thing to be a great tattoo artist (WHICH HE IS), but it is truly a gift and a mark of a great person and someone who loves what they do when someone can make each and every person feel so welcome and comfortable while getting something so personal and permanent done. I came away with not only the exact tattoo that I've wanted for years, but music recommendations, bourbon recommendations, and conversations that cannot be faked. Run, don't walk!

1000/10 experience! Mark was super gentle and patient with me, as this was my first tattoo. Feel-good vibes in the studio and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend!
Mallory Davis — 5/5 (via Google)
Mark was absolutely amazing and did such a phenomenal job! He listened to what I wanted and offered his expertise to provide the perfect tattoo

I've now gotten 16 tattoos here. It's a little overdue, but I want to give a big shout out to Mark Horton and everybody at Papacanink Art & Tattoos. They are the most chill and awesome group of artists. They make the tattoo process very smooth and easy. When I tell you that it's a great form of therapy, it's true. The things me and Mark have discussed and talked about range from politics, music, movies, racism in the world to personal things we deal with. I definitely found a homie for life and couldn't be more happy with my tattoos and experience there. Thank y'all for everything. Go check em out. You won't regret it.
Gavin Weber — 5/5 (via Google)
Mark is the utmost professional and personable artist you will find. Took my custom idea, drew the design from scratch, 24+ hours of work, and I walked away without breaking the bank on a piece that should have truly. Already planning my next custom idea, but I highly recommend this shop due to the environment and artistry that happens in Papacanink, because Papa Mark can in fact Ink!! Extremely clean environment as Mark would periodically stop to clean the tattooing area along with my arm during the tattooing. Friendly staff and accommodating to times that work best for the clientele. Opened on a Sunday to ensure we finished my tattoo in before my birthday to meet my deadline request of completion.
