Perlei Salon in Wayne, NJ is not just a hair salon — it’s an experience, an obsession, and honestly… a personality trait at this point. I’ve been a loyal Perlei girl for 10+ years, and there’s a reason I’m not going anywhere. Linsey is a literal coloring perfectionist. Now that my grays are shining through, she has truly worked her magic over those stubborn “sparkling” strands. If you have those annoying, rebellious greys, you MUST make an appointment immediately. Consider this your sign. The entire salon is pure glamour. From the moment you walk in, it’s chic, elevated, and buzzing with talent. Her staff—from the front desk to the assistants in the back—are professional, sweet, and incredibly attentive. You feel taken care of in every way. Let’s talk perks: Being a Perlei client means you get access to the elite Perlei coffee and drink bar. The holiday drinks alone are Instagram-worthy, just like the salon itself in every season. Every corner is camera-ready. And I HAVE to rave about the assistants because they are the true, unsung stars. The shampoo area is beautiful and serene, the luxury hair products are the real deal (no watered-down nonsense), and the head massage is downright heavenly. Perlei has this special way of making your troubles fade while you’re being pampered from head to toe. Oh, and did I mention the neck warmers while you’re processing in the color chair? Yes, neck warmers. You will never look at another salon the same way again. You might be reading this thinking, “I can’t leave my current salon.” I’m here to gently—but firmly—encourage you to at least book a blowout and let the experience speak for itself. One visit and you’ll understand. And finally, I must create space to rave about Daphne, the white poodle who oversees the entire operation. She is a whole vibe. They are true color specialists who genuinely take the time to listen to their clients’ requests—and actually deliver them. From the consultation to the final result, I felt heard, understood, and confident I was in expert hands. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing, with thoughtfully curated décor that makes the entire experience feel elevated yet comfortable. And the Perlei coffee bar is such a lovely touch—it truly makes you feel pampered from the moment you walk in. If you’re looking for a salon where skill, attention to detail, and client care are a priority, Perlei Salon is absolutely the place. Highly recommend !

perlei is truly a girl’s girl salon! i had gone to see JANELLE for a color and cut, as i have been obsessed with the brunette colors she’s been doing recently. and let me tell you, i did not leave disappointed! janelle was extremely thorough in our consultation and in every step in between. she truly made sure i understood what i was asking for vs inspo photos to help me achieve what i was looking for. i believe education is important in helping clients understand what the outcome will be and how it’ll fade out! she took her time with my cut and the blow out was **chefs kiss**. i LOVE a voluminous blow out and she delivered! i also brought my 6 year old daughter with me, as she has been asking for a hair cut, and she had such a good time. every one was so good with her and letting her “help out” while i was still getting my hair done. thank you to JENN for squeezing her into your schedule and a huge shout out to LISA for having my girl be her little side kick for the day. from the moment we walked in, every one was kind and friendly! from the coffee, snacks, other drinks, atmosphere, vibes … it was a very well spent saturday with my girl! i have known the owner for many years and she has truly made a welcoming salon for everyone from the young to old to everyone in between! 10/10 recommend to anyone! and this is coming from someone who took a 50 minute trek up to the salon. but i will always say: i don’t mind driving for quality!

Perlei is truly such a special salon. The space itself is absolutely beautiful - luxe, chic, and so welcoming the moment you walk in. Every single person on the staff is genuinely kind and makes you feel so comfortable, which says a lot about the culture they’ve created here. The talent at Perlei is unmatched, and you can tell how passionate and skilled all of the stylists are. I especially have to highlight my stylist, Cassandra: she is an absolute color and hair magician. She listens so thoughtfully, understands exactly what I’m envisioning, and somehow makes my hair look even better than I imagined every time. Her attention to detail and expertise truly set her apart. If you’re looking for an incredible salon experience with amazing people and flawless results, Perlei is it. Highly recommend!

This was my first time here, and I came in for a haircut and a glaze. Ally was my hairstylist, and she was truly amazing! Very knowledgeable and informative. She took the time to explain that, based on my hair type and the fact that I don’t have any dye or color in my hair, I would benefit more from a treatment rather than a glaze. The salon itself is absolutely adorable, and everyone there was so welcoming. I truly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. I’m so happy I finally found a salon where I feel comfortable and confident having my hair taken care of.
