I’ve been seeing Heather for almost a year and holy smokes she has the most infectious, bubbly energy! She genuinely cares about her clients and their hair. Heather has consistently given me some of the best, curated cuts given all the unique challenges I have thrown at her. I have various curl/wave patterns and hair at multiple lengths due to regrowth. Heather somehow makes a masterpiece of it. She is a fantastic listener and will often repeat or restate things to ensure everyone is on the same page on what the next steps will be which is incredibly reassuring. If you’re looking for a fantastic human to help with your hair, Heather comes highly recommended!

Annie and her salon are BEST ! From ease of scheduling , to appointment reminders , salon ambiance and expertise services ! As a new client she was able to help me improve the overall health of my hair . She also guided me through the transition of updating my color with the most amazing gray coverage that allows more natural tones to show through. My color is less dense and looks so natural. I am now a dedicated client and I am never disappointed with my salon experiences. The environment is warm & welcoming, relaxing , clean and pleasant. Annie offers lovely merchandise and eco friendly , clean , healthy hair and skin products which can be purchased from her shops cozy retail area. Her salon also supports local artisans by hosting pop up events throughout the year AND she supports the community through seasonal food drives. Going to this salon is a feel good experience not just because I leave there having my hair look great and feel healthy but also because the owner , Annie, takes pride in what she does and works hard to ensure a positive experience is had by all who walk through the door ! CHECK IT OUT YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED !

10s, 10s, 10s across the board!! I love Rare Byrd salon and my stylist Annie. The salon is beautiful with natural foliage throughout, has the cutest themed bathroom, and overall amazing vibes. Every time I come, Annie treats me like family and is the only stylist I’ve found in the Bay Area that can really get my blonde hair as blonde as I want it. I can’t recommend this salon enough!!

Sabrina did an amazing job on my hair! She was very easy to talk to, made the whole experience comfortable, and I really appreciated her helpful feedback and suggestions. I’m very happy with how everything turned out and look forward to booking with her again in the near future!

Shae Millhollin who cuts hair here is amazing! I have thin curly hair and struggled for years with inconsistent haircuts, people who told me my hair was too thin for layers, or who didn’t understand what I wanted. Shae is literally amazing and is so consistent in giving me a cut that shapes and flatters my curls and that I love every time. She is also so sweet and fun to talk to. I’ve been going to Shae for years now, and I’ve moved farther away but still make a point to drive out to get my hair cut by her. The salon itself is also really cute and lovely and has a great vibe.
