They were great to work with! Yes it took a while but they always answer the phone promptly & DJ was always willing to check things out. I bought a Rockwell 6S 24K Gold from Rockwell but was disappointed in the matte finish it came in. It looked almost painted on rather than luxury. I sent it to Razor Emporium and they were going to do an even swap for one they already had that was 24k polished! Then after looking at and studying the properties of Rhodium I decided I had to have both do I asked about their "Prospector" edition. Again they were extremely fair and so I also ordered the base holder in Gold and a few other accessories. I'm very pleased with the final result...looks like real class only an Aristocrat would have!

I visited Phoenix for a graduation celebration and knew one of my stops needed to be Razor Emporium. It was the highlight of my trip (besides the graduation, of course 😉) For anyone in the wetshaving hobby, Razor Emporium has it all. Their showroom is extremely well stocked and representative of most everything they advertise online. They have demo soaps, cremes, aftershaves, brushes and razors out for you to test and look at before purchasing. I was immediately greeted by DJ who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all their products, and was even happy to share other customers feedback about certain products I was interested in. I was in the market for a Rex razor, but held off just so I could make the purchase in-person. With DJ’s guidance, I settled on a Rex Konsul XL that is not only beautiful aesthetically, but also shaves like a dream. Truly a heirloom-quality piece. My only regret was not buying the matching stand with it 😃 When DJ found out I was from Indiana, she immediately offered me a tour of the entire shop! She walked me through the entire operation and educated me on how their soaps are made, how Rex razors are made, and how customer’s razors are cared for and restored. They run one heck of an operation, and the tour alone made my stop well worth it! Hats off to Matt and the entire Razor Emporium team for keeping the hobby alive & well. Next time I’m in Phoenix, I’ll pop in again for sure.

How have i not left a review before now? I first discovered these guys like 4 years ago, bought a 5/8" Dovo Forestal from them with red wood scales and have been extremely happy with it! Ive also bought soaps and such. Anyway, going in Monday (apparently, was here checking if they're open sundays lol) to drop it off for honing after polishing it myself today. Super friendly and very knowledgable people on staff. The only time ive had a problem was when i bought a restored gillette fatboy something about it was warped or mishapen, it never really closed right, took it back to them once under warranty and they gave it back working but literally back to not closing all the way the next day. And i can say with personal certainty i didnt damage it and i rinsed it thoroughly, im very careful with my expensive stuff. Ended up tossing it since I just couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and they couldnt either. Bummer but I personally dont hold that against them, that's unfortunately a risk you take buying restored vintage. Overall a great team, great products, fair prices, good selection, and 100% someone i would trust with my face :)

review date: august 5, 2025 purchase dates: july 2023, august 2025 i got serious into the wetshaving game in the summer of 2022, and razor emporium (RE) was one of several outfits that i studied up on YT and with their website. over the years, i did end up purchasing the konsul XL razor in july 2023. this was a direct online buy from RE to canada. customer service and communication was very good with the RE folks. the konsul is not cheap, and requires some skill to use. so i would recommend newbies to have good wetshaving experience for at least 6 months b4 buying an expensive razor such as the konsul. overall i am happy with the konsul. it is not a necessity but rather a luxury to have. the other item i have bought thus far (august 2025) was the 1944 shaving soap. that was a direct online buy from canadian retailer "top of the chain" here in southern ontario, 🍁. 1944 imo is ok, it's not the best or worst shaving soap. phoenix artisan accoutrements has the best shaving soaps. but what i do like about 1944 is how simple it is. it contains only 9 ingredients, compared to other soaps that contain as much as 20+. you will have to take your time and go slow with 1944, but it does provide good lather, cushioning, slickness and moisturization. and it leaves your skin feeling great afterwards. the scent is orange-like with a touch of leather, cinnamon and bay rum. am interested to try out RE's 1966, 1977, and 1988 shaving soaps in the future. RE's business model is based on 3 tenets: retail (products), service (as in serving customers and performing repairs) and education (wetshaving procedures, reviewing products). while i am satisfied with the in-house razor and shaving soap, i am giving them a 5/5 rating because of the wonderful education they provide online. ⭐ i also appreciate how owner matt pisarcik is interactive on YT video comments and reddit forums, and gives an honest effort to promote other companies products besides his own. bottom line: i am very grateful for the wonderful educational videos that matt and his people provide. they have made a positive difference. i would buy future shaving products from RE and would recommend others to consider their products and educational videos. 👍
