Overall, I recommend the services - but I was extremely disappointed by the receptionists. This was my first visit to Rituals and a birthday gift to myself that I have been looking forward to for a long time. When I called to book, I specifically requested a full hour deep tissue massage, and a simple haircut. I also explained that I needed a Saturday, as I have two young children and limited childcare. I had to wait a few weeks, but I was able to schedule both services the same Saturday. I confirmed the appointments a few days before, but received a call the day before asking for me to choose a different massage service, as my scheduled therapist could not do deep tissue. How does that happen front desk? How do you not know who can and can’t do deep tissue and why did it take until the day before to catch the mistake? They offered to reschedule me during the week, but that is not an option for me. My choice was ultimately to accept a different massage or wait another month for a Saturday. So so so disappointing. I have problem areas in my lower back and neck that would have been alleviated by the massage I booked, but rather than wait- I agreed to a Swedish massage - the other alternative was hot stones, or a lymphatic massage that was not anywhere on the website. Mary did a wonderful job, and did her very best to accommodate my problem areas. She used tools to try and give me what I had requested. The massage was heavenly, and you can tell she has experience and knows exactly what she’s doing. The girls who actually pampered me today are the only reason I will recommend this place in the future. Now for the haircut- it was scheduled before my massage. Kenzie did a beautiful job. She gave me exactly what I wanted and then some. It was styled beautifully and I felt great leaving her chair. When I made it to the massage room, my very sweet massage therapist asked if I wanted to skip the scalp massage because I had just had my hair done. I definitely didn’t want to skip any parts of the massage, so my styled hair didn’t stay styled for long. It was worth it, but it would have been nice to leave the salon with freshly styled salon hair versus bed head with added massage essential oils. Why would you all schedule the order of services this way?? Also, when I checked out, I was not told of a $5 credit card transaction fee, and my $42 haircut was actually $48. I had cash on me and could have paid cash had that been mentioned. I wouldn’t have caught any of that had I not asked for a printed receipt. I feel like I learned a lot today, so I will be better prepared for the next time I can afford a nearly $200 self care day.

Loved my experience! Kinsy was my stylist and she was so great. She was warm and confident, didn’t over complicate things, making the whole process feel smooth. I love the end result, she knocked it out in no time at all without sacrificing quality. I would definitely come back. I’m comparison to other salons, this price point is unbeatable. Not to mention the salon was clean and professional, all the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy it there. Here is my before and after>>>
