Carli did full highlights my first visit and I was so happy with my results, I flew down from the Bay Area for a touch up from her. The biggest win: the highlights blend seamlessly. No harsh lines, no chunky stripey pieces, just very natural-looking color that grows out nicely. Exactly what I was hoping for. She works efficiently (appointments don’t drag on forever), listens to what you want, and gives honest recommendations instead of just doing whatever. I also felt like the price matched the quality. Overall, great experience and great hair. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this salon! I've been coming here since I moved to San Diego for 3 years. I mainly go to Carli who works wonders on my hair. She listens well to what I am looking for and nails it every time. I get highlights and Carli makes them look really natural. Ajay's chair is right next to Carli and while he hasn't done mine, I'm always so impressed with his clients' hair. I highly recommend going to Salon Del Rey!

I usually visit Carli when I go to get my hair cut and highlighted, I have been coming here the past 3 years and have always had a delightful experience, I can’t recommend this place enough to all of my friends and family, all the stylists do an exceptional job. They’re all experts of their craft. In the past I’ve had trouble finding a spot that cut my hair the way I wanted, but here I’ve always left with my expectations exceeded times 10. I look forward to coming here every month or so.

Have been coming to Salon Del Rey for over a year. Both Carly and AJ do a wonderful job turning me blonde every few months. It’s such a relief to have a salon who always takes such good care of my hair. Love the results every time!!

Absolutely amazing! I met Kristoff back in Boston and couldn't imagine anyone else doing my hair - so I indeed flew across the country to come see him! He always provides amazing care with meticulous attention to detail! Kristoff was able to take picture inspiration and turn it into something attainable and fabulous for my hair type and priorities! Truly the best!
