I was looking for someone that could give me a perm. I had already left one salon because I continued to be disappointed with my perms and then my next stylist moved away. I had a hard time finding a salon that clearly advertised that they could do perms and that had reasonable prices. At first glance, this salon might deter certain clients. It is connected to a senior living center and that’s where it seems most the patrons come from. BUT LET ME TELL YOU: Jennifer can perm! She was methodical, meticulous and quick. I guess that makes sense since the wiser population led the way with perms. I was throughly impressed. Jennifer is by far the most capable stylist with a perm that I’ve experienced. My hair may be a bit imperfect in the photo, but it was post wash and sleeping on it overnight. I have yet to get my hair cut there, so I have no information on that.

I had been looking all over to find someone who could try a non-traditional perm style on my hair. After being disappointed by several places that said they wouldn't attempt it, after a consult with Jennifer at Salon Nyla she said she'd give it a try. Her years of experience with perms helped me understand the process (I've never had a perm before) and why I may not be able to get exactly to what I wanted. I went ahead with it, after she answered my questions and left me feeling confident in her expertise. I was very pleased with the experience and the results! Jennifer was professional, friendly, thorough, and nice to chat with while I got the process done. It may not be exactly what I had in mind, but I love it! My friends and family love it! And for the first time in my life my hair holds curl for more than an hour. When I get a refresh I will definitely be going back!

I came to Salon Nyla for a perm and Jennifer was amazing! Jennifer took the time to talk me through the type of curls I wanted and explained the whole process so I knew exactly what to expect. I really appreciated the extra time and care she put into protecting my specific hair type, every step she made felt thoughtful and professional! Jennifer was so down to earth I had such a good conversation with her, it truly was refreshing! I absolutely LOVE my new curls! Has to be the best perm I have ever had! No need to look elsewhere, Salon Nyla is the place to go for perms!

If you’re looking for a place that gives great perms, look no further! I love perms, and this is my fifth time getting one. I always make sure to read reviews and look at photos before booking an appointment, so if you’re doing the same, I hope this review helps! For context, I’ve had a few perms in the past that didn’t turn out great. Sometimes the curls were too loose, some strands stayed straight, or the curls fell out within hours after the perm. These experiences made me anxious about trying a new place. Then I met Jennifer! She’s the sweetest, kindest hairdresser you’ll ever meet. During our appointment, I felt truly listened to. I told her I wanted a tighter perm because my long hair tends to stretch out after a few weeks. I showed her some pictures, and she exceeded my expectations! Jennifer was incredibly meticulous, spending a lot of time on each rod to ensure every strand of my hair was curled perfectly. My hair is thick and long, which made the process even more challenging, but she handled it with patience and a smile. She put in 227 rods over the course of five hours, which was no small feat. Not a single strand was left uncurled by the end. Beyond her technical skills, Jennifer was so thoughtful. She took the time to teach me how to care for my perm and even showed me a new trick for diffusing my hair. At the end of the appointment, she trimmed my dead ends just because she wanted me to look my best. Honestly, Jennifer was a lifesaver. I have a really important event this month, and I’d been feeling anxious about my appearance. She worked wonders with my hair and gave me the best perm I’ve ever had. I’m so glad I found her! I’ll definitely return to Jennifer for any future perms. If you’re in the same boat as I was and decide to book with Jennifer, I know you’ll be in great hands! I had such an amazing experience with Jen at Salon Nyla. She gave me one of the best perms I’ve ever had, bouncy, defined, and exactly the curl pattern I wanted. She took time to understand my hair, walked me through the whole process, and made sure I felt comfortable and cared for the entire appointment. Jen is incredibly skilled, detail-oriented, and genuinely fun to work with. My curls look natural, healthy, and full of life. I’ve gotten so many compliments already! If you’re thinking about getting a perm or trusting someone new with a perm, I cannot recommend Jen enough. She’s a total perm wizard. ✨
