I’ve been going to Sal’s in Lake Hiawatha for the past 6 years, and the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of them is reasonable pricing. I visited again just yesterday (sorry, I didn’t catch the barber’s name), and once again it was an amazing experience. In fact, it was the first time someone actually styled my hair after the cut, which really stood out. He made sure I didn’t walk out looking like I’d just had a rushed haircut with messy hair. That extra care really impressed me. They’ve been in business for a long time. It’s not a big, fancy barber shop, but the warmth and genuine service are always there. Sometimes there’s a wait, sometimes there isn’t — but that’s just part of the experience, right? Price: $15 for an amazing haircut Parking: Roadside Highly recommended.

I’m about 5 weeks into recovery from serious knee surgery and was in need of a haircut badly. Just starting to drive cautiously, I pulled into driveway next to barbershop and spotted Sal, told him I couldn’t make it down stairs due to non weight bearing on knee.
