There are no words for how amazing my experience was here today. It was my first true tattoo and what I was wanting was something very personal that meant a ton. I read some reviews on Scrimshaw and decided to just drive over there, no appointment, and walked in the door. The comfort I felt from Ishmael (and the person he was working on at the time) when I first awkwardly walked into the shop not sure of how the process works made me feel completely at ease. Tracy was able to get me in and transform a picture into true art. Tracy is extremely talented and it came out better than I ever imagined. I can’t thank them all enough. Scrimshaw not only has talented artists but they are truly amazing people. Thank you again, it really means the world to me.

Erin did an amazing job! It was my first tattoo and she told me what to expect. I told her an idea and she created something beautiful! This was a special tattoo to me and I couldn't appreciate her more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I haven't actually gotten a tattoo from Scrimshaw yet, however, I have met a few of the artists and seen a huge selection of tattoo ideas. Definitely will be paying a visit soon for a touch up on a couple I already have and possibly some new ones. Food instead of Bombs has a potluck around back every Friday from 5-8 with food items, clothes items, shoes, boots and other essentials they give away for those hungry for a hot meal or in need of any items. They are a great group of young and dedicated do gooders and I love them for everything they do for our community. If you haven't checked it out you got to go do it. Everyone is very welcoming and you just never know who you'll meet or what interesting topic you might stumble upon.

I've gotten two tattoos now from Nash and both times were amazing. The first was a pin-up style cowgirl I picked from a flash book when I came in, and he was able to size and place it to fit really well around my other tattoo in the area. Most recently I came in for a memorial piece with my best friend, where we got matching cowgirls again. Nash took the time to talk to us about the piece and gave us something even more amazing than we had hoped. Truly amazing work and I'd recommend to anyone looking to get something done, especially if you're interested in American traditional.

I'm now on my second session with Ishmael Johnson for a full Irezumi sleeve and just...WOW. The quality is amazing, but what really stands out is the speed he gets it done. We are almost halfway done with my first sleeve, and I already have appointments booked through next year for my other arm if that is any indication. I get nonstop compliments with it hardly 50% done, and I've heard a few people on Reddit say he is secretly one of the best Irezumi artists in the world 🌎. And if it couldn't get better, every session has had great conversations. I'd give 6 stars if I could!
