Ida did an amazing job saving my hair after I received the worst haircut at another salon. Another stylist elsewhere gave me a terrible chop, and when I walked into Shay’s place, Ida brought my hair back to life and made me feel pretty again. My confidence was completely restored after my cut with her. She’s so kind, talented, and did a beautiful job—especially with the blowout afterward. I have been getting my haircut by Ida for almost 20 years and it has always been a wonderful experience. Ida is an amazing hair stylist. She listens to what her customers want and she executes flawlessly. I even went to her the day before my wedding and she was able to squeeze in an appointment for me. The haircut was perfect! I have been wanting to share this glowing review for 4 months! I was only in the neighborhood for a few hours a few months ago and was in desperate need of a good haircut. I just had one back home but it did nothing for my hair and my hair hung flat and lifeless. That's when I wandered into Shay's Place right before close and asked if there was any way they could cut my hair now? Graciously, Shay took me in. I didn't need a style, only a cut. I didn't bother with specifics other than long, layered and curly and Shay proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts of my life! Pure magic. I am so grateful and truly cannot wait to go back. Not everyone can cut curly hair let alone work pure magic as Shay did. I hope to return soon bc I have not let anyone touch it since. Another testament to his skills, though am now certainly overdue.
