She gives the best haircuts and our banter over her Halloween costumes is sharper than her scissors. If you’re looking for the best haircut and the best customer service you’ve certainly found it with Jade.

This place is great, I have been taking my son there for a while, from the checking in to taking you back they take great care of you. I feel relaxed when my son is getting his haircut in their cushy leather chairs looking at photos of icons I admire. Shelly does such a great job cutting my son’s hair, he has a tricky hairline and is pretty particular. Not to mention she talks to him about his interests, like riding roller coasters.

I’ll be honest—over the years, I’ve become rather particular about my hair/haircut. So, when I moved to the South Park area, from the Lake Norman area, I started looking for a quality men’s salon. After trying a handful of places—none of which impressed me—I happened to stumble upon Shear Excellence. At first, I assumed it would be just another men’s salon like so many others in Charlotte. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve now been getting my hair cut at the Shear Excellence South Park location for just over a year, and choosing them has been a great decision. A few weeks ago, I made the mistake of stopping at a Sports Clips for a quick, cheap cut—I will never make that mistake again! Next time, I will wait and make an appointment at Shear, before I even think of going anywhere else. My stylist, Lauren, has been absolutely phenomenal. Every visit comes with a perfect haircut, a welcoming experience, and I always leave more relaxed than when I walked in. I’ve met the owner on a few occasions, and she’s fantastic—genuinely passionate about what she does. It shows in the way she runs her business and in the four locations she oversees. She hires and retains some of the best stylists in the area, which I imagine comes from her experience and standards, from working in the industry as long as she has. I truly couldn’t recommend Shear Excellence more!

Shear Excellence goes above and beyond to deliver a great haircut. The stylists, drinks, decor and experience are what distinguishes Shear Excellence from others. The inside has a great customer waiting area with 6 leather chairs, a tv and magazines. There are complimentary sodas, beers, water and coffee. I always feel valued as a customer and I am never disappointed. The head massage, hot towels and neck shave are nice details. Great job to the South Park team and to Riley for always doing a great job!
