Recently had a haircut and beard trim by Ryan of Slight of Hand barbershop in Prospect Park. His expertise in cutting and trimming was exceptional. Have been going to the same barber for 12 yrs in south Philly. I’m very particular about my hair cut. My barber recommended this shop in my new area. Short version: Amazing shop with funny, personable barbers. Very welcoming! Why aren’t you in their chair already?! I haven’t been to a small business for haircuts in a long time, and I’m glad that I pulled away from chains. Sleight of Hand is a great place to get a haircut, beard trim, or a shave! Truth be told, it was my first barber experience, so I accidentally booked the full experience (ie haircut, beard trim, and traditional straight razor shave). I’m glad I goofed up because it was a real experience! Zach couldn’t have been nicer or helpful! I also wanted to try a new facial hair style, and Zach looked at some reference pictures I found. He nailed it! Additionally, I never felt like just “just some dude”; the barbers and everyone who worked there were welcoming. After five minutes, I felt like I’d known everyone for a while. I will definitely go back, if not for the full barber experience, at least just to get the attention to detail I like for my hair and beard. Don’t miss out; book your appointment now!
