I was honestly nervous about taking my 3-year-old for his very first haircut. As a parent, you never know how they’re going to react, and I was skeptical about where to go. I’m so glad I chose this barbershop. From the moment we walked in, I felt completely at ease. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and I truly felt like my son was in good hands. Patricia was incredible, so patient, gentle, and reassuring. She took the time to talk to him and make him feel comfortable, and somehow made the whole experience seem effortless. It didn’t even seem like he noticed his hair was being cut! She did an amazing job, my little guy looks so handsome. What really touched my heart was that Patricia saved a small lock of his hair, placed it in a little plastic keepsake, and attached it to a certificate for his first haircut. Such a sweet and thoughtful touch. We’ll absolutely be coming back. If you have little boys, skip the typical kiddie haircut places and bring them here. You won’t regret it.

I recently visited Step Up Barber Shop in Union, and I would like to leave my compliments. The place is very clean, well-kept, and organized, and they have a unique and special way of treating children. The team is extremely dedicated, patient, and caring, and they do everything they can to make kids feel comfortable and at ease. As a mom, I highly recommend this barbershop to other parents who are looking for a safe and welcoming environment for their children. They truly go above and beyond to make the little ones feel good during their visit. Amazing service and dedication — I recommend it with confidence!

I’ve been cutting my hair with Patricia for almost a year now, and I truly recommend her. She is a very kind and welcoming person, and every time I go there she makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I especially love the way she dyes my beard—it makes me look younger every time I leave. The place is beautiful, clean, and has a parking lot. I’ll definitely keep coming back.
