I’m not sure where to start!! My whole experience with Thairapy has been absolutely incredible! My first consultation appointment was concise and clear, with Lyndsay doing an incredible job to ensure I felt comfortable me with the differences between each extension type, and making sure that the pricing was incredibly transparent. I have never had extensions before and was definitely a little nervous, especially being nonbinary and going for a more stereotypically femme look, but every interaction has made me feel respected and valued. During the extension process Lyndsay was so kind and crazy quick! I get daily migraine and Lyndsay was kind enough to turn off the lights in the salon for me at one point when it was just the two of us which was SO nice! Afterwords, Lyndsay followed up to ensure I felt good about the length and amount of hair we had added which helped me feel so confident in my decision! With the combination of amount of length I added with the variety of color in my natural hair, my extensions could have ended up a bit wild! But Lyndsay crushed it to an extent I didn’t realize was possible! My own family was amazed by how natural the extensions look! I decided to go in an get a blowout after a couple of weeks, and was paired with the amazing Kayda! With my health I often have trouble sitting still and getting my hair washed can definitely hurt occasionally, but the experience with both Kayda and Lyndsay was AMAZING! Kayda did an incredible job with my hair and I felt like such royalty!

Such a great experience! Becca was amazing to work with and completely understood what my hair needed. I have fine textured curly hair and was in need of some love and a fresh new style. Becca immediately vibed with the mission and I couldn't be happier with the results! My hair looks so healthy and blended for if I want to wear my hair curly or straight. The salon was super convenient to our home and cutely decorated. I also loved that they use Kérastase products. The price was pretty typical with Portland salon pricing. I can't wait to go back for a color session.

I’ve been seeing Lyndsay Maderis since 2020 and I can confidently say she has completely changed my hair and my confidence. I’ve never had “great” hair. Mine is very fine in texture and ever since having kids I struggled with shedding. Lyndsay not only made my hair beautiful and fuller with Great Lengths keratin extensions but also coached me on how to actually care for my natural hair so it could get healthier and shed far less over time. That level of education and support is rare. She is truly an expert in her field and an ambassador for Great Lengths. Incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful and intentional about what will work best for you. Her salon Thairapy is spotless, calming and such a lovely space to be in. You feel cared for and appreciated the moment you walk through the door. What these extensions have done for my confidence has been life changing. The investment is worth it and then some and the way Lyndsay genuinely supports and cares for her clients is unheard of in this industry. Don’t walk, run to her salon! 🩷

I want to take a moment to share my extensions install experience at Thairapy PDX (Vancouver) because it has genuinely been transformative for me, both physically and emotionally. First, Lyndsay, the owner, is truly something special. I came to her in real pain from poorly sized/placed bonds done elsewhere, feeling discouraged and honestly afraid to trust anyone with my hair again. Lyndsay stepped in with so much compassion, care, and expertise. She listened, validated my concerns, and fixed the issue with an incredible level of skill. The end result was the most comfortable and stunning set of Great Lengths extensions I've ever had. I have very challenging hair: texture issues, thin density at the ends, and persistent frizz. Lyndsay handled it with confidence and precision. She is a true expert, but what sets her apart even more is her heart. She's a woman's woman in the best way: deeply compassionate, invested in her clients, and clearly someone who treats her stylists with respect and care. Because of that trust, she thoughtfully transitioned me to Makayla, and I couldn't be more grateful. Makayla is an absolute gem. She has taken the time to really learn my hair, understand its challenges, and ensure that every appointment leaves me comfortable, pain-free, and happy. I come in for continuous blowouts (at least bi-weekly) and regular move-ups, and the consistency and professionalism I experience every single time speaks volumes. Makayla has an incredible way of making me feel seen and pretty. I don't fit the conventional beauty mold by any means, but I leave her chair feeling confident, cared for, and genuinely uplifted. That kind of experience doesn't happen by accident--it's clearly the result of strong mentorship, encouragement, and a healthy salon culture fostered by Lyndsay. I also want to gently address some of the mixed reviews I've seen online. As someone who frequents the salon regularly, I find many of those statements confusing and contradictory to everything I've personally witnessed. This is a dynamic, professional team that tackles challenges head-on and fixes issues when they arise. There is accountability here, and most importantly, a clear commitment to clients. Though I am in no means discrediting what someone else has experienced or felt, my experience has been nothing less than exemplary. If you're someone who has difficult hair, doesn't "fit the mold," or has been burned before and is scared to try again, I cannot encourage you enough to book a consultation. This salon is a place of support, trust, and real expertise. I love being here, I love these women, and I'm so grateful to have found a team that truly cares.
