I could not have asked for a better wedding hair and makeup artist than Margeaux! She was super friendly, patient, and incredibly professional. We actually discovered we have a lot of common interests, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. She also did hair and makeup for my mum and sister, and they all got along like a house of fire! My makeup stayed flawless, and my hair stayed PUT for a full 14 hours!! I felt confident and beautiful from start to finish. I am so grateful to Margeaux for making us all look and feel amazing, and I would recommend her without hesitation!

Margeaux and Stella did absolutely magical work making hair and makeup perfect for our bridal party at my wedding. We couldn't have felt more comfortable and at ease in their capable hands, and Margeaux had amazing communication leading up to the day, making sure she understood our brief for the day. Honestly couldn't recommend more highly - it set such an amazing vibe and pace for the rest of the day. We all felt stunning and looked divine throughout all the celebrations and happy tears. I had my hair and makeup done at The Distinctive Dame and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Margeaux was warm, down‑to‑earth, and instantly made me feel comfortable. She understood exactly what I was after and brought it to life effortlessly. My makeup was flawless, and the low bun with soft curls framing my face was perfect, elegant, relaxed, and beautifully in line with her signature vintage style. Margeaux is just pure magic to be around. The standard stuff: Margeaux did my hair and make up for my civil wedding ceremony. It looked phenomenal. Both my hair and make up survived a biblical-level torrential downpour that occurred later in the day, so I can confirm without a doubt that if Margeaux performs these services for you, you WILL be serving full glam for at LEAST seven hours. The more memorable part of my experience: I had a bit of a menty b when Margeaux put my veil in for me. The stress of the weather and the realisation of 'girl I'm getting married in HALF AN HOUR, I'm not just planning this wedding anymore' hit me out of nowhere once that veil went on. All of my emotions manifested in ugly sobbing (with excitement, I must reassure the people reading this). Margeaux was so sweet and tender with me, comforting me and getting excited with my family and I. She really put my mind at ease and helped me get my shit back together in a very calm, passive and thoughtful way. To say the Distinctive Dame only offers hair and make up services would be to sell short the entire experience I had. Margeaux is part hype-woman, part counsellor, part philosopher, part anthropologist and 100% the BEST hair stylist and make up artist you could hope to have in your corner on your wedding day. You just have to book with her. Thank you, Margeaux, for your kindness, talent and heart. You really are magic.
