I've been seeing Milan for a few years now, and my experience has consistently been excellent. The entire team is friendly, professional, and attentive. They also carry a great selection of men’s wear, which is always worth browsing. Working in customer service myself, I can confidently say there are very few places in Ottawa that offer this level of personalized service and care.

The Foxhole Barbershop is top tier. I booked with Milan and he’s a class act, warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely world-class at what he does. It’s the kind of place you come to unwind and enjoy good conversation with other gentlemen, not just get a haircut. Everything was seamless from booking to the cut to payment. The subtle diffuser adds a great ambience, and the high-end clothing selection really sets the space apart. Easily one of the best grooming experiences I’ve had.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Undisputed King of Ottawa Grooming and Style. If you are looking for a serious barber in Ottawa, this is it. I’ve sat in just about every chair in this city trying to find someone who can do clean, technical work and still make it look effortless, and Milan at The Foxhole on Wellington West is in a different league. I’ve thrown everything at him over the years, technical skin fades, detailed work, and longer styles like warrior cuts, quiffs, and classic pompadours. The biggest difference is the consultation. He’ll tell you straight if something will not sit right with your hair type or face shape, then he’ll adjust the plan so the cut grows out properly. It still looks sharp 3 or 4 weeks later, which is the real test. For the beard guys, his line work is dialed in. Whether it’s beard shaping to keep length or a straight-razor wet shave, the lines stay crispy without pushing your natural line back. Also, the shop is a legit bonus. The menswear is ultra-premium and curated, the kind of stuff you usually only see in Montreal or a high-end boutique. Come for the cut, take a look at the racks, and you’ll get why this place is the standard.

I dropped in to see Tyler last minute, because I was in desperate need of a haircut. He did a fantastic job, and was super good conversation doing it. Apparently he’s new to the Foxhole, but he’s an excellent barber. I would absolutely see him again.
