I am religious about Gloss Society! Danielle always takes such good care of my nails, and of me as a person. She is so talented and professional and is my favorite girlie to see every 3 weeks 💕 I also started getting my hair done by Emily about a year ago and having someone you fully trust with your hair is so underrated. She is SO skilled and makes even the longest hair appointments so fun. She gets it right every. Single. Time. 🫶🏼 Aside from the fact that their prices are actually reasonable, you have a good time while you’re there. The girls really make an effort to learn your name and make you feel welcome. Jess, Abby, Alexa and so many others have helped make this the best salon I have ever been to. No matter where in town I live, I will come here for my appointments. I am a Gloss girl for life!

I’ve been going to The Gloss Society for over ten years now—even before they had their own space—and I can honestly say there’s no place like it. Kassy is my absolute go-to. My nails always seem to give her some kind of challenge, but she never falters. She’s creative, patient, and always willing to switch things up to match my ever-changing nail needs. Beyond being incredibly talented, she’s fun, energetic, and makes every appointment something I look forward to. My nails always look amazing when I leave, no matter what shape, design, or idea I throw at her. If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers great work with great vibes, The Gloss Society is it—and Kassy is the best of the best! 💅✨

I love going to the gloss society to get my nails done! Kassy always exceeds my expectations. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Not only do I always love my nails, I have an enjoyable time when getting them.

As long as I live in Pittsburgh, I will never go to another nail salon. Everyone is super nice and experienced! Shout out to my # 1 nail artist extraordinaire Dani, girl is amazing!

Updating my review from 2 years ago: I still love The Gloss Society. In addition to Kassy for nails, I also see Sam for my hair and get my lashes done here as well. Every service is so friendly and warm. Even techs that have never directly worked with me know me by name and greet me when I come in! In regards to Kassy and Sam specifically: Kassy always knows exactly what I want and has even memorized some of my favorite polishes. Whenever I bring her some crazy drawing, she is able to translate that into a beautiful set. She is also so awesome in the sense that if I change my mind on a certain element, she never gives me grief for it and helps me adjust so that I always get the perfect nails. I have an autoimmune condition that can cause brittle nails. I used to break nails all the time, but with Kassy's help, I now have nails that NEVER break. A crack is very rare and typically caused by some sort of trauma, but she has been able to save my natural nail many times. It feels great to tell people these are my natural nails! And with Sam, she is such a sweetie! I recently wanted to make a big change but had no idea what I wanted. I put my trust in Sam and she delivered a haircut that has delivered a new sense of confidence in me. She also walked me through how to style my new hair and helped point me to more resources for further styling. She knew what my desired maintenance levels are and gave me a haircut that perfectly fits my lifestyle. Overall, Gloss Society is one of my favorite places in the entire city. I always enjoy my regular visits! The pink nails and short nails are from when I first started going here- the red and black are my current nails that are entirely natural! (Original 2023 review) I love this place SOOO much!!! I started with Kassy for my first ever nail appointment ever. Their online scheduling system is very intuitive and flexible which was great as I went in with massive anxiety. Kassy was so understanding and sweet, and put up with my nervous blathering. My second appointment was for my wedding nails which I absolutely adored! She took my random collage of inspiration and turned them into the perfect set for my big day. Kassy kills it at every appointment and she's so much fun too. Both photos are sets that Kassy did, but I have to add that the photos simply do them zero justice!! I also recently got my hair chopped by Shelby and she was lovely too! I wanted to do a little more adventurous for my new cut but not too adventurous... and she got it down perfect! I love my new hair. I'm always anxious for my first visit at a hair salon but being familiar with the salon due to my nails helped a ton. As far as the salon itself- it's beautiful and chic, very clean, and it's an all-around warm and friendly environment. Everyone is so personable and kind. If you're thinking of coming here, any person there will be a good pick! The Gloss Society is my new beauty hub and I can't wait to come back ❤️❤️
